Its supposed to be there to correct clear and obvious errors.
If that wasn't clear and obvious nothing is.
As I say, just another tool to corrupt things further.
What is your explanation for VAR not insisting he goes and looks at it?
 
Broadcast the conversations. They'll never do it, because refereeing has never been objectively rule-based, it's always been about subjectively managing the game. I imagine a lot of conversations happen where they clearly know something is a foul but let it slide for whatever reason.
 
The ref should be accountable and the ref should have the benefit of s simple video replay. We've had replays in football since black and white tvs ffs. It'd just take a few minutes for him to look at a stream on a phone in his pocket.
 
What's the key difference here between this and the Ederson one given against Arsenal? Yes its a foul but they are never given (except that one time).

Things should be slightly different for goalies because they use their bodies differently.

If United's midfield keep not turning up I don't think even VAR can get them top 4 this year
 
Shocking decision. Doesn't surprise me. Let's be honest, Not one single person on here thought that VAR would give that penalty.

The Rags will get a Top 4 spot that's the height of it. I don't care what anyone says, They haven't improved AT ALL under Seven Hag. He has spent millions and getting away with it.

Another result for them tonight that will paper over the enormous amount of cracks.

Fatty in midfield is also completely shit and he will start week in week out.

Preston lad and not a rag at all. For me it’s Webb that has his grubby mits all over these decisions as no right minded ref watches that and doesn’t give a pen. They are not incompetent, they are just instructed to not give it.

Clearly offside is a stretch but they were offside. I’d actually thought VAR had done alright this weekend but it’s back tonight.
