The KDB situation could be used against us in negotiations so hopefully the fact Pep is being so transparent is a good sign that deals are more or less signed off.
I really enjoyed that press conference, and his clear delight about Rico was a joy to see.

I just dont see that we would, there is no benefit to us helping bayern, he came here knowing hed be number 2, he has played in significant games including the fa cup final and there is just no benefit to us selling a top keeper to bayern to help them when it doesnt suit us , the only upside to us would be selling for significant money.
We wouldn't be helping Bayern. We would be helping Ortega.

Get both Doku and Paqueta in and either use McAtee or Palmer as an extra player providing Pep is happy in doing so. Wirtz or Olmo would be great but would be too expensive this time around. Going back to the current keeper situation Ortega wouldn't be helping us by accepting the move at this stage of the season and leaving us scratching around for a replacement.

Kevin out means Paqueta has to be completed.

Even with that our sub attackers would still include Palmer, Bobb and McAtee so plenty of minutes for them still.

Don’t think it would if we get Paqueta and Doku, we’d still be picking, the 4 attacking mids/ wide forwards from:
Bernardo, Foden Grealish, Alvarez, Kovacic, Paqueta, Doku. Might be some minutes for one of Palmer ,McAtee or Bobb but not loads.

I suspect kovacic will play deeper in the double pivot, not the top of the box.

I can see Paqueta doing that too.

No more midfield Stones.

I think Phillips is getting sold. So Palmer takes his spot.

I would put Kova for Stones and play Stones RCB, but just preferences.
he's not droping back to make a back four though as well do out of possession, could swap rodri/kova in that case rod to drop into CB

I don’t see us playing a double pivot, think that’s the whole point of the Stones stepping into midfield, we’ve always played 5. defensive and 5 attacking players under Pep. Can’t see that changing to 6/4.
Certainly don’t see Paqueta doing that ,it isn’t the best use of him and I suspect not what he wants either. West Ham using him there was /is a waste. Think he’ll play a very similar position to Gundogan.

My plan is still 5/5. Same 4141 formation.

Rodri CB pushing up next to Kova is a real option if Stones is injured or even Stones can play wide CB.

I don’t see Kova playing higher anymore, his best asset is control in the build up.

Paqueta will be a mix, he seems capable playing anywhere in midfield.
