There was EVERYTHING in place to enable the officials to make the correct decision, yet the didn't. You believe it isn't corruption, and that is your prerogative, but the fact that it is a frequent occurrence at that particular ground, and that particular team, questions need asking.Ref should have given it and the officials should have told the ref to have a look. the technology is there, it's a great system, just need officials to get all these big ones correct 100% of the time otherwise it's the usual barrage of 'corruption' cries. Was a penalty, nothing more to add.
It won't be the last awful decision with or without VAR, law of averages will always be 1 or 2 every weekend. a lot more without VAR I would guess.
You understand that most people support tech to help the refs, right?
It was damn convenient that Webb could roll out Moss within minutes to apologise. They've not rescinded the yellow given to the wolves manager either for a "mistake" they made.
The head of refereeing for the PGMOL enjoying corporate hospitality at the same place & time as his refereeing team refused to give a BLATANT penalty against the home team should be a HUGE story. It was damn convenient that Webb could roll out Moss within minutes to apologise. It would be if it was us and after last nights corruption they have now given the Rags one of their own in Oliver for the tricky looking match v SpursThe head of refereeing for the PGMOL enjoying corporate hospitality at the same place & time as his refereeing team refused to give a BLATANT penalty against the home team should be a HUGE story.

The whole premise of VAR was technology to help the on field ref. What we have is multiple people reffing games and the “team” seemingly unable to disagree with each other on the blatantly obvious. Needs binning off and a serious rethinkYou understand that most people support tech to help the refs, right?
Most of us on here would love to have a real video replay system with the main objective of aiding officials to make the correct decisions so teams are not disadvantaged.
I think the vast majority of football fans around the world want that.
The issue is that the current iteration of VAR (specifically in the PL) is not setup to do that, largely because of the farcical insistence on the “clear and obvious error” threshold, which does not exist in most other major sport leagues around the world, for very good reasons.
The first “Mic’d up” programme of the season in September will be interesting one way or the other.
The non penalty last night will almost certainly be the most in demand audio from the first month that fans will be interested in hearing.
So we either hear it. Or if they don’t use that clip at least we know the rest of the series won’t really be worth bothering with.
He's on ignore for me Kaz. It is so much better.Thought that would get you here , not denying it though are you and dont call me dear
Need time to edit out the "ref bantz"In September, seriously? Why can't they do it the day after each round of games? I am guessing there will be several more contested and less embarrassing VAR decisions in that time so this be will be overlooked.
I suppose it will all be a carefully stage-managed nothing-burger.

The plan is for one programme every month. I assume the thinking was a bit like Goal of the Month where they don’t bother with August and combine it with September as it’s only a part month.
