Assuming Wirtz, Barella and Bruno G are off the market I can’t see any available midfielder that would be an improvement on what we have. Maybe Matheus Nunes but that’s it
 
disaster is going too far, that would have been losing bernie and walker

we lost Gundo but he was going anyway
Laporte wasn't going to play much so makes sense him moving on

we have signed our long term defensive target who could be here for the next 10 years
we have signed a midfielder who has slotted straight into the team and looks like he will be better than most expected
we have kept Bernie and Kyle

add to the above the market has gone mental, average players now being quoted at 75m upwards, untested forwards at 120m plus
Look at the teams trying to improve their squads, most have walked away from players due to cost.

there is no value in the market at present, we are all struggling for players that actually improve the team rather than might improve the team if we get lucky

the only big miss on that list is probably Bellingham, we tried but lost out to Real, it happens and will happen again

none of the others were really on people's lists on here before the summer, some of them have become better players after we failed to sign them according to some on here.

Why? It's no different than posting on the game thread. Not that it matters one way or the other but you can chew gum and run at the same time.

Unless you were watching the game bon your phone, I don't see the problem
