Kalvin Phillips

We must be pretty confident on securing a deal for at least one cm, if we're letting Perrone and Phillips both leave, well i suppose we've to cling to that hope anyway

Mendy? Mangala? Nolito? There have been one or two amongst the successes.
Post-takeover, there's been a handful. The entire summer of 2012 window, Santa Cruz, Bony, Jovetic, Savic, and maybe one or two others.

Post-Pep hiring, it's pretty much just been Mendy, Bravo, and for now Phillips.

A small squad may be easier to keep happy. We still need good cover for injuries, loss of form etc but equally real competition for places is vital. High quality replacements needed if Phillips & Palmer leave.

Says it all really, Pep says squad is small, injuries made it even thinner, we need everyone but happy to let Phillips leave despite all this.
He is not trusted by Pep at all, based on what he sees in training day by day.

Even with having an injury prone Kovacic as the only guy next to Rodri currently.

Wonder if he was a Txiki "value" signing that was given to Pep or someone Pep really wanted.

I’d rather we loaned him back to Leeds, then if they get promoted, they can purchase him at a reasonable fee

He needs to play PL football, do you think they can afford his wages, city need to sell

If Phillips leaves, you can be sure that Rodri will pick up an injury next month. By the way, what happens if Foden gets knobbled? Many opponents seem to be targetting him and Jack these days.

The question who do you bring in now. Paqueta was the option up until the betting charges. We can easily bring in another Kalvin Phillips if we are careless.

Is Barella attainable at short notice?
Inter would sell their entire family if they were paid enough. I think whether Barella wants it or not is the only stumbling block. Often difficult to lure Italians away from Italy, but might be different when the best club and best manager in the world come knocking on your door? I`m yet to see any reports this summer that he`d refuse to leave Inter

Not this close to the end of the transfer window. We refused to sell Bayern Stefan Ortega. It is going to be too costly for us if we tried.

We need to bring someone in, can't expect Rodri to play that many games again.
We already have that person in Kovacic, but need someone to be able to play in CM for when he does cover Rodri.

Barella would be perfection (and a lot better than Paqueta), but let's see who we get.
