Nah watched last night against a relegation side and at points it was a and end to end game with only Sterling looking the difference any good side like West ham will take point of them! Chelsea didn't control the game against Luton!

Maybe they'll be better against better sides where they will have less of the ball and sit in then hit teams with pace!!

Out of the first 3 games, last night was definitely the least impressive performance so far. Still though, it’s great to see my attackers get off the mark. I need Jackson and Sterling to be amongst the goals regularly.

Whose going to drive the team forward if Sterling is injured?

They looked decent last night. But a bit of perspective is needed; it was Luton (who are lot of people's tips to go straight back down). And it was at Stamford Bridge. The Winston Wolf "let's not start...." quote springs to mind.

No one really who can do it to level Sterling is showing right now. The natural replacement would be Madueke but he’s relatively inexperienced.

You can only beat what’s in front of you. We played better against Liverpool and West Ham, and should have won those games to be honest. I don’t think anybody is getting carried away on the back this win vs Luton.

Sky sports were last night.

I don’t think they were over the top. I watched the coverage. The team won 3-0 and they were rightly praised, as were the good individual performers like Sterling, Jackson and Enzo.

To repeat myself, it was against Luton. At home.

But so what? Are you suggesting the coverage should end immediately after the final whistle? They’re gonna have to talk about the game and mention the good (and bad) things they saw. I watched the coverage. It was just normal post game chat. I don’t understand the gripe at all.

I never said any such thing. If you can show me where I did, please do. Don't twist what I said, okay? You said people weren't going overboard about the result/performance, I said that Sky were very praising post game. I added context to it by pointing out the opposition.

Let's not forget that Sterling is now the worlds best prospect after having only 2 decent games against poorer opposition.

Some on here are already asking to re-sign him :O

He did play well last night, to be fair to him. I think the move was probably in the best interests of both Raheem and City; he seemed to have lost his way with us, and needed a fresh challenge. Re last season; well, he wasn't the only Chelsea player who underperformed. I hope he does well for them in all but two games.

I’m not saying you said that. I asked if that is what you were suggesting, meaning you didn’t say it. I posed you a question based on your responses to me. We’re going round in circles though. I watched the Skysports coverage and I didn’t feel it was in any shape over the top praise. But fair enough if you did.

I never said "over the top", I said they were very praising of your side. I'm not going to go on (and on, and on...) about it, as I don't want to derail the thread.

Having played two decent games in a season and they are building him up though? Modern football sometimes has very low standards of excellence.
