I'm surprised sky aren't all over this strike talk if it's true.
To be honest these situations are the fault of stupid players and their agent. If they're half decent they should get a watertight release clause in their contract before they sign it. The best example of a fuck up on this front was Kane.

City have probably said they'll cover the 'loyalty' bonuses he'll lose for going on strike.

In every country outside of UK (I'm from Sweden) you can watch every PL game live on TV. I have not written down how many times I've seen them play but considering I usually watch 5-8 PL games every week I have probably seen them play around 20 times last season. I understand I watch more football than most (and that not all games are live on TV in UK), but there is a lot of people that watch 1-2 games every Saturday and Sunday and have a decent perception of how most PL teams play, who their standout players are etc. PL is the most watched league in the world, of course a lot of people (not all or most) will have seen a PL team play several times over a season.

I think lots of fans in England don't seem to get this point.

Peacock, Sling, Paramount and Hulu. And you are watching football all week. Granted, it's not a serious watch like when one watches City. But it's not so hard to get a sense for a player.

Better yet, when we are interested in a player, I can do fire up his last couple of games and watch. Add that to some YouTube clips and smattering of stat analysis, and you are pretty much as accurate as close to knowing the player as possible for a fan who isn't being paid a dime to know :)


Anyway, that used to be me. These days I don't watch as much. Big teams only.

Like us they'll have the value they think he's worth and if that's met he can leave.
Nothing wrong with what the clubs doing.

Always have mixed feelings when you hear about players striking etc to get what they want. I can appreciate the desire to be here but there's always a bit of a red flag if players are willing to do it. It's not as if he's being held hostage by wolves, he's only been there 12 months.

Let's not forget he was happy to sign a contract at Wolves and they don't have to sell him for lower than their valuation of his worth. Him going on strike seems a bit desperate to me and something i don't agree with.
