Nunes had to move to Portugal due to backlash from an incident where he jumped onto the back of a local Brazilian player after they had just scored a goal

If its £60m Wolves are holding out for, I cant see us letting the deal break down for that amount. Pretty cheap considering the amounts spent and bandied about on average mids this summer
I agree, and I also don't think Wolves will let the deal collapse and miss out on the payday, sour their relationship with Mendes, and be forced to keep an unhappy player

The way I see it, Nunes was far enough down our list of midfield targets this window that there’s absolutely nothing to suggest he’d be the number one target in the next window should he not join this summer. Therefore I don’t think City are likely to just cave and meet the asking price. Going on strike feels like a desperate attempt to get his dream move but I don’t see City bending over to make it happen. We’ll have no issue with moving on, we’ve done it many times. And that’s a problem for Nunes as he might not be the chosen one next window. Hence the strike.
All very well but this time we do have an issue with moving on, we are 2/3 players light and with 4 days left of the window it’d be a huge risk to walk away from this one, only had to look at our bench yesterday to see that.

It’s common knowledge that Bernardo wanted to leave for the past two or three seasons. Imagine if he had done this.
It’s behaviour I cannot get behind, if true he is behaving like a twat. People go on strike to protect pay and conditions when faced with an awkward, dogmatic employer. Doing it because you want a bigger pay day at a better club leaves a bad taste..
There has not been a substantial bid received for Bernardo as far as I know. Remember he is at one of the top clubs in the world and the places he can go to are limited. Nunes badly wants this move and a reasonable bid has been made apparently. I would have a certain amount of sympathy for the lad as I would for Bernardo if he went on strike if say a solid 75 million bid came in from Barcelona and was refused by City.

The fog of war will often condemn a participant in order for one side to occupy higher ground, a sacrificial lamb to appease the observers and excuse a battle lost. Next, I am sure that it will be reported that the player has burnt his bridges and has to be sold. The observers will nod, and sharpen their quills.

But it’s City and that’s exactly the kind of thing we do every year! When has Pep ever had a complete squad at City? There’s always issues that the board don’t resolve for him straight away and then he has to pull a rabbit out of the hat. It’s kind of our thing.

Fucking hell. What a comment. Orny will have agenda against Nunes? Why?
Last week, just before bed, I switched over to SNN and he was on with some other twat. He said we were state owned. Nothing new, I know. But the reality is, 1 He hasn't done his research (yeah, right) or 2 he knows it's a lie and wants to create a story or perpetuate a lie. He's either a serious journalist who we/I take seriously - or he's a twat - and it would seem to be the latter. The story maybe true, but he can't be trusted.
I'd be more inclined to trust him if he asked pertinent questions like ' why is a big time power broker in the middle east like Khaldoon involved in liccle city.

It gives me a warm glow knowing all these comments about Nunes character are from Bluemoon posters who were fine, upstanding, emotionally intelligent people when they were 25 and have never made a mistake in their lives. I’m glad we’re all perfect on here. It makes this judging lark so much easier.
At 25 Nunes is an adult in control of his emotions. He was quite happy to sign a good contract 12 months ago for Wolves. They don't want to sell unless we meet their valuation. Nunes going on strike to push through a move is not the right thing to do. I think his agent has encouraged strike action for his benefit of cashing in on the transfer happening.

I also wonder how many of them were telling other players who we were interested in "go on strike" on this very forum ? Just pure double standards on here.
