It's going to take something absolutely catastrophic to bring the pigmol empire down, and it could well be soon.I'd said before the season even started that with all the leniency and favouritism united were being shown in pre-season matches I was fully expecting the corruption to be off the scale in the coming season and so far I've been proved right.
Way way too many favourable decisions have kept that club at the business end of the Premier league for years and years. It was subtle at first. Right at the beginning, when the old first division ceased to exist and the Prem started, Sly were in it at the launch, and they've been there ever since. A broadcasting company that has made no secret of its admiration for all things rag and its apparent disdain for most other clubs. Effectively Sly has been rag tv since its inception. From the days of Richard Keys and Martin ('it's live on Sky Sports') Tyler, and the whole ghastly collection of verminous sycophants at Sly, their total allegiance to that one club has bordered on obsession. Utterly embarrassing.
But there is a strong feeling amongst many that the rags have been looked after for far too long, and people have had enough. There has been a very subtle change of opinion from the media hacks because they are now, more than ever, prepared to criticise and speak the truth about the cosy relationship between the rags, Sly and pigmol.
Something has happened to the tabloids that has awakened them from their self-imposed slumber: they are beginning to ask questions about the way our national sport is being governed, and sooner rather than later, Webb and his partners in crime are going to have to start supplying some answers.
