Manchester’s Changing Skyline

New Cross is looking great. And becoming a new city centre district in it’s own right. Some really good looking midrise residential apartment blocks have been built recently.

Fantastic footage of our New Cross and Poplin projects in Manchester. Great work from all involved on excellent quality sites with both clients pleased with the finished result.

We are delighted to share with you our new challenge – 352 Deansgate, Manchester project!
APS façade will be delivering design solutions through PCSA phase, for the attractive new development of 22 -storey Aparthotel, with 357 bedrooms, in the heart of Manchester City Centre.
The tower will cantilever four meters over the Deansgate Viaduct which carries a major arterial route for the Metrolink light rail network that will remain operational throughout construction. Our approach will identify and incorporate solutions to façade design challenges in this PCSA phase.

It’s great to see the completion of the steel frame on our Ducie Street Project, a new high quality residential block in Piccadilly, Manchester.

The scheme will see the creation of 41 new homes in a 8-story luxury apartment block. Shape Consulting Engineers were delighted to provide full Civil and Structural design services across the project. The time-lapse video really highlights the progress of the steel frame construction.

The eight-storey steel frame has now completed on the £12.5m Lomax development on Lomax Street in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The 41-unit development, a joint venture between Urbano Property and Big Red Industries Group, is set for completion in 2024 and includes a rooftop patio for residents’ exclusive use.

20 years ago I was fortunate to be part of the team at Drivers Jonas that was working on the Beetham Tower planning application - at the time an absolute game changer height wise in Manchester city centre.

So, nice to go back to look at the view along Medlock Street and see how the skyline has changed!

Eden’s 36,000 sq ft living wall, which is the largest in Europe, continues to edge closer to completion.

No matter where you view it from in the heart of Greater Manchester’s business district, the green façade is a striking focal point on Salford’s cityscape.

Home to 32 different species of plants, the living wall will deliver a 174% net gain in local biodiversity when fully complete.

Want to find out more about this incredible design feature and Eden’s many other sustainable credentials?

The height of the tower will increase by 2 floors with an additional 16 apartments.

The design of the tower and office exteriors has changed from the previous approved proposals going off the new CGI.

Though I like some of the developments, I have been working in Strangeways the last few weeks and cut through town form dilly to Vic and personaly I find the new victoria tripple set of new high rises top of miller street to be vile and a complete eyesore on the area.

They don't fit and are also ugly in design
Interesting how different people have different tastes.

I had a good gander at these recently and I was impressed with them.

I hope they don’t start complaining about the noise from Gullivers. It’s a great pub and has gigs on upstairs.

Hopefully proper soundproofing will take place!

Red brick cladding to blend in with either side would look better, imho but at least it ain't all glass and overpowering the other buildings height wise

Fantastic!

Another great city centre office proposal.

Erection of a 12 storey building (inc. (Ground + Mezzanine) + 11 storeys, basement and roof terrace and plant), comprising office accommodation, a ground floor retail unit, roof terraces, plant, cycle parking, hard and soft landscaping, access and servicing and other associated works.|New Victoria Phase 2 Office Development Land At Corporation Street Manchester M3 1NX
