It absolutely does weaken the squad as we’re already light on numbers and would be another one down if he went. He’s not currently starting because the season has just started but the games will start coming quickly, as will the possibility of injuries and rotation.

We were desperate at times last season, & Pep still reluctantly played him, & very sparingly too.

Flashes of brilliance here & there in matches we've won & are dominating are one thing. Consistency is a whole other ball game.

Pep sees him every day in training & will know more than we will if he's got a future at City. As things stands, it looks like a no. )(

Strange that we didn`t do any business with Girona in this window. They finished 7/8 last season & had a good start for this season. Would be a good option for McAtee, Gomez, Bobb, Doyle or even Palmer.
