Jordan Henderson preferred to Phil Foden for England just let that sink in for a minute

Mr Shouty has sold his career and his soul down the river for twenty pieces of silver , he has retired from football and took the money , he is playing in front of 5,000 crowds in a very low standard of football sprinkled with a few has been over paid superstars.
Phil on the other hand has been an essential part of a treble winning squad , has started the season on fire and only missed games due to his fitness issues , maybe its Phil's personality and he doesnt want to rock the boat and tows the line, but he isnt a kid anymore , about time he confronted Waistcoat and asked him wha the f*ck is going on.
If he's good enough for Pep then he is definitely good enough for the Waistcoat Waster and his play safe/no risk tactics , every time Foden is overlooked by far inferior players it is an insult to his playing ability and standing in the game.

I guess it depends on how it affects him.

He is a top performer for the best team in the world and can't get a starting spot in the national team. I'm sure he realises the level of Southgate.

If he is able to own that midfield position this year then he'll hopefully be a starter alongside Bellingham and Rice. That's a very decent midfield.
 
If I were him I would have a tactical injury in the next break and spend time at home with the kids just chilling. Wouldn’t surprise me though if he plays against Scotland with the genius manager that we have, playing plenty of those who didn’t play v Ukraine.

Yep. A totally meaningless game. But you can rest assured Scotland will give it everything.

Said it many times before ..Foden sidelinded once again.
Didn't watch the match, i don't think I missed much.

If he played for utd or Liverpool he would start every England match centre mid,without a doubt.

A valid opinion and agree with my City hat on , but unfortunately unless you have achieved at international .world cup level there is always a section of the media / pundits who will never class Foden as genuine world class
Messi will probably win the Balon D'Or because of his World cup exploits with Argentina where as Haaland only plays for likkle Norway despite breaking all scoring records and winning multiple medals/titles.
It stinks, if you play for an establishment club like Real / Barca / Bayern / Rags / Dippers and win a couple of medals a player is odds on to win the Balon D'Or , if Haaland had scored over 50 goals for Real last season he would be nailed on for the award , football snobbery at UEFA is alive and kicking

Media schmedia ! Football is played won and lost on grass , not paper or web pages. If our players play well for all to see , and we win games , often playing against 12 opponents , all is well,and I couldn't give a damn what the media say/print
