Yup, Paulden's on the corners of Cambridge Street, Cavendish Street (as it was then, a through road to All Saints) and Chatham Street. My Old Man took me there on his shoulders to see it going up in flames, loads of people watching from Stretford Road. I can still remember its clock tower falling!Did that one set on fire?

Coincidently the advert on the stand for Lookers appears on the day they announced the sale to a Canadian firm valueing the sale at £504 Million.This can't be right. We have no history !
