Too much diving but quite a good performance.

A few times when we were down to ten men he didn’t work hard enough to get back into position when we’d lost the ball. But on the ball he’s very tidy.
 
good ball retention - excellent in fact and always looking to go forward with the ball....can clearly create as well (potentially more from a wider position in midfield).

Fitness will need work and as others have said working back when we dont have the ball but he will get it

He most probably was just shattered- he’s a player who was up and down the pitch more than anyone in the first half. Constantly on the move. He tracked back a lot when we had 11 and won the ball back so think more a case of fatigue than lack of effort

Nunes qualities is underrated. Can’t wait to see what he does when he gets used to playing with the team. A footballer with high football IQ will not need 1 year to gel with the team.

Hahaha. Brutal from Pep. True though and at this point he'll be shifting focus to make him want to get better and better. Maybe a bit of mind games here to bring the best out of him. I wouldn't be surprised if the comment before was with signing him in mind knowing he'll soon need to think about replacing big players so he wanted Nunes to want to play for him saying something like that. Now we've got him, Pep wants him focusing on getting better and not settling for how he is now as good as that is.
 
My 'hot take' is that he'll be starting over Kovacic by the business end of the season.
 
Think the lad looks class, he seems to have settled in incredibly quickly, must admit I didn't really understand the signing when we were interested but he's much better on the ball than I anticipated he would be
