15 years in the making and it’s finally here.

I always say never give in but there were moments with this one where it was close!

Global recessions, a challenging land assembly, mistakes by me and covid along with it being the most difficult scheme to fund with the Hotel part of the project.

However we did it, we’re on site and started!

We’re so excited to announce we’ll be bringing W Hotel and W Branded Residences to Manchester as part of our St Michael's Manchester Development.

St Michael’s was always about raising the bar in Design , Architecture and Service standards and with W we can achieve that.

The hotel will be open in early 2027 and will be home to 162 rooms in addition to 217 apartments.

This is a huge moment for us and is going to help put St. Michael’s on the the global map. We always wanted a world class new place for Manchester.

Anyone that has stayed at a W hotel knows they are truly 5-star experiences and there’s no better home for W than Manchester.

W Residences & W Hotel are coming to Manchester.

We're excited to announce that St Michael’s will be home to W Hotels and W Residences in a major deal with Marriott International.

The agreement will see a 162-room W Hotel located within the iconic 41-storey tower, bringing bold design to signature W spaces including the Living Room, WET deck, W Lounge, AWAY Spa and FIT fitness centre.

Hotel-inspired living will also be available across all 217 apartments at St Michael's, offering buyers the opportunity to purchase a permanent residence within Manchester’s most exclusive postcode.

Adding to an already growing cluster of towers on Regent Road.

A KFC, McDonald’s, and a casino off Regent Road are to be levelled to pave the way for more apartments in a rapidly evolving area of the city.

Demolition could begin next May, according to planning documents.

London-based developer Manner is progressing plans to redevelop the site into a 550-bed student scheme.

The revised plans for Hotspur Press, located off Gloucester Street, come almost five years after an earlier proposal for a 171-home, 28-storey residential development was approved by Manchester.

Three years on, Manner has picked up the scheme, launching a consultation on its plans for a taller, 35-storey building featuring 550 student beds.

Colliers Yard in Greengate is an urban neighbourhood with soul.

Further to completion of the first tower at Colliers Yard Cortland, the second tower, Bankside is progressing well and anticipated for competition in 2025.

The Arch Company has been granted planning permission for the transformation of 10 derelict railway arches which have sat vacant for over 5 years on Norton Street.

Neighbouring Renaker’s ColliersYard development, the transformation will breathe new life into these historic arches with secured funding of £3 million.

Work looks set to commence on the arches in the near future, transforming them into prime, lettable spaces complete with fully glazed frontages. These spacious units are primed for restaurant operators and retailers, setting the stage for an exciting addition to the local community.

We are excited to announce the first of the three towers has now completed construction at ColliersYard, marking a significant step in the regeneration of the Greengate community.

The 50-storey Build-to-Rent (“BTR”) tower has been acquired by Cortland, a renowned real estate investment, development, and management company. Cortland at Colliers Yard will offer 559 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments for rent, with more than 25,000 square feet of amenity space.

The glass clad tower also boasts a three-storey brick podium level which will create a neighbourhood at street level and will include shops, restaurants, and bars.

To me, that will always be the Refuge building. Kimpton missed a trick there; they should have gone with "The Kimpton Refuge Hotel".
