United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Will the Rags investigate, issue an apology and ban those responsible?

Is the Pope catholic.
Manchester City FC have conducted a formal investigation about this chanting. They have issued a written apology to both United & Liverpool and banned Alfie Haaland from the Etihad for the rest of the season.

A question for people with longer memories than me.

I remember us losing (a lot) against Ferguson's United. I remember some painful ones. I remember them clearly being the better team and outplaying us.

But I can't remember anything like this and the 2-0 from a few years ago. Just an absolute gulf in class, an absolute humiliation where the score only tells half the story. Even at our worst I remember players putting a tackle in.

Seems like this United team are used to it as well, Liverpool do the same to them as well.
There were a few games when we didn't turn up such as the 0-5 at the swamp and 0-3 at Maine Road, but in those days we were in the bottom half of the table and a rag win was expected. - We've been beating them biggly (as Donald Trump would say) while they've been champions; 7-1 on aggregate in both 2011-12 and 2013-14. And our other ultra- dominant performances have come in an era when they've won a few cups and always qualified for Europe, usually in the CL.

To be honest Poundland Haaland looks ok as a player he probably score 20+ goals plus in our side he had a good effort that ederson made a good save of to! The lad has ruined his career going there!
Agree he doesn’t look too bad but think Eddy’s save you are referring to was from Toy Story Sid

Rewatched the highlights on Sky this morning and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that slabhead booted the ball away after the whistle had gone when we got the free kick in the last minute..I thought it was an automatic yellow card for doing that nowadays.
Whilst the pundits are saying it's a soft penalty..they don't seem to say fuck all the slabhead wrestled Erling to the floor in the area and that was definitely a penalty.
It might be wet and crappy outside but I'm sure all us blues feel warm and happy after yesterday's toying with the Trafford Red Sox..

On reflection I'm pretty relaxed this morning, long gone are the days were I'd be gloating like fuck all week, it's just another game to me now where I'll always be expecting to beat the cunts.

Don't get me wrong it's sweet, and even more so doing at that dump, but like this season the first fixture I look for when they come out in summer is Liverpool, as for playing Utd it would be more exciting playing Oldham or Rochdale these days.

When the officials don't get involved and cheat we smash them every day of the week, miles ahead of them and will be for a very long time

Up the Blues!
Agree mate. Any rags I meet are greeted with the slightest shrug of one shoulder and the faintest raising of one eye brow. Sounds a bit weird I know, but they get the message, lol.

Lots to love about yesterday;
  • Bernie’s performance was up there with his best
  • Eddie’s save from McTominay
  • getting a soft penalty at Old Toilet
  • the away fans were bloody brilliant all game
  • Jack back to his best
  • our utter dominance in the second half
  • our utter dominance getting under their skin and them reacting like petulant seven year olds
  • our second being a fantastic team goal
  • the mentality we showed throughout
  • Jeremy giving his very best 5 minutes and taking the piss out of Anthony
  • Pep and the players celebrating with the fans afterwards
  • a clean sheet
  • the fact that they look like they are going backwards
  • the world was watching our dominance
