Dreadful mistake by the young lad. Watched him today and he played well enough but very little around him which is scandalous considering the hundreds of millions spent putting that team together.

If only he’d shown the patience that Foden did. Not so long ago all the outside noise was for young Phil to go on loan but he could see that staying with Pep and City was the in his long term benefit.

Unfortunately for Palmer he will never play for a club like City again

He had a difference of opinion with Pep and that sealed his fate. He is a very neat and tidy player with good vision and can finish. He created some great chances in the first half but Chelsea don’t have a decent finisher.

I've never thought he was the caliber of manager that I'd ever want at city but I at least thought he might be decent enough to get a tune out of the players he has and at least be a bit better than they have been, but he's doing no better than the previous couple of managers.

I think it’s the second time I’ve seen Chelsea play this season, with the exception of maybe a couple of players, they have paid a heck of a lot of money for players who little ol’ me, deem to be nothing more than Championship quality, let alone thinking they are good enough to challenge for the top four of the Premier League. Poch will have his work cut out if he thinks he can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
