Ugly,scruffy, semi-articulate specimens.
I find it hard to believe that braverman’s braveboys really are the master race.

Mad how these idiots feel let down the second they feel like the police aren't being racist enough, but seem to have no issue whatsoever when they're being sent down for raping and murdering women

I think it’s fair to say that the culture around poppies and Remembrance Day has veered off track somewhat in the past 15 years.

The problem is that it went from being something you would choose to wear, to something you were obliged to wear, which defeats the whole purpose. We’re now at a point where if anyone goes on TV between October 11th and November 12th without a poppy then there’s dozens of complaints, which is how you end up with the Cookie Monster and football mascots wearing them.

And then because when wearing one doesn’t distinguish you as respecting the fallen because everyone else is already wearing one, you get people buying and wearing bigger poppies, or creating poppy decorations like you would see at Christmas, dressing up llamas and dogs and what not.

Then the nationalists and far right have tried to use it as a symbol of Englishness and patriotism and tried to co-opt it.

I think it’s a real shame what has happened to it, but I also think the core message- the one that’s become so obscured - is really important, so this virtue signalling who’s-more-patriotic idiocy is something we have to endure for another decade or so, and then I assume it will fall out of favour with these types and go back to being used as a sombre and respectful thing.

Have to agree, I remembrance in the 80s/90s as something respectful and personal, with poppy sellers and cadets on street corners a few weeks before, no grand displays and meaningless expectation everyone wore one or be criticised.

It wasn't treated like a festive period like easter and christmas, but one to respect those that died in 2 world wars, and to support veterans through the charitable contributions buying a poppy made

now you get this

She’s done.

She went off script without number 10s permission. She got a raft of alterations to make to her times column from number 10 and just ignored them.

She’s branded 500,000 normal British citizens - expressing their hard won rights to freedom - antisemites on a hate march.

She incited far right violence against the police.

The main protest went on peacefully and had “a family atmosphere” according to the news reports.

No chance of staying in the job, no chance of a leadership bid.

The irony of having Douglas “the butcher” Haig front and centre of something commemorating the dead soldiers he sent to their graves.

It really drives home how uneducated this stuff is.

Pity she wasn't "done" 12 months ago! a total disaster like the rest of them..

this fella managed to cover all bases far right symbolism and a poppy, with no sense of the irony involved

On toy soldier tommeh his real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, Tommy Robinson is an alias he uses to grift so they push that name, as do the press for some reason
I know mate, it was a flippant remark for anyone who might support Stephen. The fact they refer to him as his more English sounding alias says it all.

She won't resign and she won't be sacked.

Whilst the media focuses on her and today's events the Tories will pass the parliamentary bill stripping us of rights enshrined in EU next week.

I wouldn't be surprised if she doubles down, along with 30p Lee to keep us looking over there whilst employment and safety rights are being quietly removed from us for being "too much red tape."

Haig was a more complex character than Blackadder and Oh! What a Lovely War would have you believe.

In terms of popular perception, the First World War is arguably the most misunderstood chapter in British history.
