I got stuck for almost a week in Melbourne. The one in Australia, not the one near Derby. Loved it!

We’re due to go there in a couple of weeks.
This year has been a pain in the arse in general. It would round it off to be boiled in the Blue Lagoon at the start of December.

I was back in the UK at that point in my life for a little while so had the excuse of flights being cancelled, wouldn't work these days sadly as it's only a 5 hr drive! Haha!

Alot of work was done by airlines and engine manufacturers after the 2010 airspace closure. Back then it was a case that extreme caution was shown, even when minimal ash was in the air. Detection of ash and methods to mitigate risk are considerably better now than back then. Whatever happens, I wouldn't expect the impact to be as widespread as it was in 2010-fingers xxxxxxxxed!!
