Burnham is Mayor of Greater Manchester and Sheikh Mansour and CFG are one of the biggest investors in our City. After CAS he had a chance to defend CFG. Even now he could say we are innocent till proven guilty. He has not even defended the Labour City Council from the lies published about its relationship with Sheikh Mansour. He will be off to Westminster as soon as he gets a chance.

I think that pressure will be put on the government to get the regulator in place before the kangaroo court sits and replace the Premier Leagues disciplinary regime with that of the regulator. This would involve agreeing a sanctions policy with the Premier League clubs but implemented and enforced by the regulatory body.

There's every chance that the Labour bloke will be in no.10 before anything happens with our case...I've not heard anything to suggest his/their thoughts on a regulatory body. It may end up not being an important thing early doors when they see the countries books.

I'm certain that the panel won't be taking any potential geopolitical consequences into account and I wouldn't want them to either. We are either innocent of the charges after due consideration or we aren't. Why should we get away with something on the basis that our owner wouldn't invest billions in Sizewell if we were punished for example? We as a support base would be outraged if that was the case with a rival club so you have to be consistent.

Obviously I want us to be cleared and for this to finally go away but not on the basis of threats or undue financial pressure. I also think that people are over estimating the influence our owner could bring to bear on the UK government. Yes Abu Dhabi invests in UK projects but the country wouldn't collapse if it didn't.

I agree with this. However, if there’s a danger that we’re not going to be subject to a fair process then the government absolutely should be getting involved and warning the PL of the consequences of a biased investigation. The case should be judged wholly on the evidence at hand and if, as many of us suspect, the PL haven’t got anything more than what UEFA had and what is already in the public domain, then anything other than the decision CAS reached will stink of a stitch-up.
