FA Cup 2023-24

Clearly outside the box. But then, that saves the Charlton keeper from a red card. If you were a Charlton fan, which would you prefer; what was actually given, or the free kick, but facing the rest of the game a man down. I'd probably opt for the latter.

Yes keeper should have gone but not a penalty. I'd opt for 1-0 up and 10 men as Charlton's superior fitness and quality should still tell.

Well done Cray Valley Paper Mills. They did themselves and their fans proud. Ok the second half didn’t go their way but they epitomised what the FA Cup is all about. To take Charlton Athletic to a replay was great and to hold them until half time was excellent.

I was working in Oldham when they had a couple of good seasons under Royle, people with no prior interest in football were suddenly turning up for work wearing Oldham scarves, shops in their town centre had window displays. They started getting 20k at games, which soon went back down to 5k when they were relegated.
It's a town full of glory hunting yonner wankers.
Yep, every other person was a lifelong fan who knew fuck all about everything but always wanted to tell you they knew better than other people....then almost overnight they all disappeared....as Paul Daniels once said "That's magic".

It's second round proper this weekend, so was presuming the draw for the 3rd round could be on Monday on that One show again?

Anyone know for certain?

FA Cup 2nd round this weekend. Who’re you rooting for ahead of the 3rd round draw on Monday? Some mouthwatering potential away trips just from tonight’s 2 games:
  • Notts County - beat them after a 4th round replay in our Cup-Winning year under Bobby Manc. 1-1 in the first leg at Meadow Lane. Safe to say our 2 paths as clubs have diverged a bit since then.
  • Shrewsbury… [ffs]
  • York City - nobody on here will have been to York away in any competition, so that’ll be a nice day out
  • Wigan… [ffs]
Ramsgate or Harrogate would be nice too!

And remember, if there were a Cup for Cock-ups, we’d have won it a record number of times.
