Radio 2 - who's it aimed at?

Why not choose a different station, podcast or spotify?
I do. I'm an avid listener (I'd rather have the radio on than the TV) to podcasts and other stations. So I do move around the dial a lot. I've tried to listen to her and I think her radio broadcast style is shocking. I like Romesh and I've really enjoyed his podcast with Tom Davies. My Saturday mornings are usually spent listening to Radcliffe and Maconie and Huey Morgan on 6 music. It's all about personal taste I suppose.

My sister in law really like Radio 2, especially Zoe Ball and Vernon Kay. Personally, I don’t think I’ve listened to R2 for about 10 years. Rather listen to Greatest Hits, Smooth or Gold.

Fair play. I guess we all find our own best way.

I’ve never been a fan of CW. She plays the fool, which isn’t for me.

Radio 2 seems to be the alternative station these days to Radio 1 while 6Music is like the underground equivalent.

Radio 1 I only bother with to hear the charts if a band I like have a new album out.

I was about to say ‘you’ve nailed her’ with that post, but then thought better of it.

Whenever I see or read mention of her, the word nepotism springs to mind for some strange reason.

None of those three really cater for my music tastes. They’ll all have a song on I like maybe a third of the time, but the problem is I’m not prepared to sit through the other tracks and styles of music they churn out.
I do dip into Radio 1 Dance now and again to try and get an ear for the new stuff though.

She’s been very successful in doing it though, to be fair.
She has, in her own way. But perhaps she was furnished with the opportunities to demonstrate her ability to be successful in the media.
On the other hand, maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree, and her parents played no role in it, and the fact they both had a media profile and connections was co-incidental.
Regardless, she still ain’t my cuppa.
