Rodri didn't play in the rags 6:3 last year, think player's need to not rely on him so much.

Last season we had Gundogan who was always capable of standing in at DM, we haven’t yet found anyone who can step in this season.

We were too open against Wolves but we went too far against Arsenal in compensating for Rodri’s absence and we ended up completely stifling our creativity.

But we do rely on him because he is argueably our best player
We rely on every player that steps onto the pitch as will tonight. We are used to playing without players like Rodri and tonight no Grealish , KDB , Nunes and perhaps Doku but we have to focus on Villa and scoring more goals than they do over 98 minutes or so simple as no matter who starts and who finishes. it we are up for the fight and Villa will give us a fight for sure we will be 3 points off the pace after 15 games.

We are not good without rodders as the three defeats showed, no gundy to step in makes it , i would say , impossible task tonite , beast me tomorrow if i am proven wrong !

Ooh, I’m nervous for this- on the beers very soon (Asahi of course).

Come On City!!!

Key players are ones to turn high profile clashs... Rodri, kev, gundo(when here), foden and Bernie.
I dont think we rely on rodders, just shown we missed him earlier when banned. But as a team we are still in 1st/2nd gear this season.
We haven't approached anywhere near the form we're capable of so far this campaign. Even the win in Trafford; I'd say the team has had more strenuous training sessions.
