The Copenhagen CL draw should help if we can effectively kill the tie in the first leg
The day the scouse ‘rascals’ only cleared snow from one half of the pitch at half time.Did Harry Maguire score in that game? For some reason, it's in the back of what passes for my brain that he got a goal?
Well remembered. They did pull that stunt, didn't they? The day the scouse ‘rascals’ only cleared snow from one half of the pitch at half time.
Got what they deserved.
A scouser’s trick eh?Well remembered. They did pull that stunt, didn't they?
Let's be honest; with notable exceptions (!) the group stages are pretty much a formality for the top 2 seeds. Qualify from the group, and you're into the last 16. Again; in that round, the 8 group winners generally (not always, granted) win through. You're then in the q/fs, 3 rounds from glory. Our run last season was pretty easy, up until the Bayern q/f.
Check the "notable exceptions" comment!Er… weren't Manchester United seeded in their group? Or have I got that wrong?
Nah; surely not?A scouser’s trick eh?
Its a refuse or dung heap , very apt“Midden”. Now that's a fine word. I wish I had my OED to hand (Oxford English Dictionary) to look up the history of that word. I suspect it's very ancient. Going back to mediaeval times, at least. Sounds Germanic or Old Icelandic to me.
Any enlightenment?
liverpool are not in the CLIt’s in our hands. That’s all one can say.
We have had a poor spell and I think teams are starting to fear the return of our form. Liverpool have been living on the edge to get a measly 2 pt advantage.
We will both drop points in games against other clubs, but that game against each other at Klanfield will be a very big one indeed!
IF we can get a victory there, it will be seismic and possibly even knock the stuffing out of them. If not, it could prove deadly to us.
Coming as I does after a CL game, I’m hoping the extra day of rest (Liverpool are away in the CL that midweek) and us being home in the Second Leg will provide us with better prep than them.
Then again, that freak result in the run in might be the difference, too!!
Let’s hope they go quite far. Would be great to see them playing Sunday for the remainder of the seasonliverpool are not in the CL
they are in one of the thursday night cups
The Dippers will be playing some third rate team in the Thursday cup , they could probably play their under-19 team and get a result , where as we will have to be at full strength , so the extra day is immaterial. It’s in our hands. That’s all one can say.

Think it would be Grealish for Doku when it comes to the sharp end of the season and the big games.Going forward this is probably our strongest starting 11. I can't see a better rounded team in the PL. If we tighten up At the back, we'll 4 peat.View attachment 103237
KDB-Doku-Halaand is a transitional play i don't think Jack can match.Think it would be Grealish for Doku when it comes to the sharp end of the season and the big games.
As you said we need to tighten at the back that means stopping the counters, that's why I think Pep will prefer Jack in those big tight games.KDB-Doku-Halaand is a transitional play i don't think Jack can match.
Don’t forget the Skrtel handball in 2014 or should I say punchball. Same old scousers always cheating. We've lost 2 out of 5 -- there was also Oct 2019, the infamous Arnold handball. OliVAR at his finest.
The problem is virtually every year we get shafted in that cesspool:
- 2022/23 - Foden goal chalked off for the softest of challenges on Thiago
- 2021/22 - Milner remains on the field after at least 3 yellow card challenges
- 2019/20 - Arnold volleyball
- 2017/18 - Champ League: Salah offside goal, Jesus onside disallowed, Robertson on Sterling no pen
By no small coincidence, the 2 times the game was reff'd fairly, we were better. Shat on them in 2020/21 and should have won in 2018/19 if Mahrez hadn't mistaken the International Space Station for the goalposts.
Doku creates more chaos in the opposing teams defence, as opposed to Jack, as well.KDB-Doku-Halaand is a transitional play i don't think Jack can match.
