PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I don't know, I think Forest have a point on this.

They rejected £30m for Johnson from Brentford that would have seen them pass the PSR as they knew they would sell him for more.
A month later they sell him to Spurs for £47.5m but outside of the PSR window.

They're essentially charged for selling their star player for more.

The rules also forced them into selling a home grown player as its pure profit, another flaw. Plus they only get £60m in losses as a newly promoted team but everyone else gets £105m losses over 3 seasons.

All comes back to what these rules are really for and it's quite obvious that it's to stifle the development of ambitious clubs.

For this reason it distorts the market.

All clubs know which clubs are treading a fine line and may need to sell to comply with FFP. So cash-rich clubs can low-ball the club that's in trouble knowing that, if they refuse, they are in the shit.

Double whammy, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Lets not forget about utd and their recent failure of UEFA FFP. Reported by only a few in the small columns of the inside pages as a "minor breach". With absolutely no punishment. We don't get the but This Is Man United bollox then do we?? . All brushed under the carpet and forgotten as quick as possible. The media stuck.
They were fined

Newcastle have the financial might to challenge the whole ffp fiasco in a court of law, I hope they do. The premier league is digging its own grave with this nonsense but they're too stubborn and stupid to see it. A breakaway league will be formed as a result.
It will be worrying times if there is break away from the PL. It would probably end up with a franchise league with no relegation or promotion. The 14 - 8 voting rule, which is the reason the PL is so competitive will almost certainly be gone. The PL is not ideal but we won't get anything better.

How can teams set a budget? To be on the safe side they should budget for relegation and losing in the 1st round of every cup competition. It also looks to be financially preferable to sell a youth player for £40m then transfer a player in for the same amount and amortise over 5 years?

Our legal team explaining what their rules actually mean and how we have managed to stay within the guidelines may be the reason other clubs are being exposed as failing.
I'm certain our club were well aware right from the off that they must be certain to stay on the right side of the line or face the penalty hence the time taking to find a rule broken.
Their last throw of the dice was to charge us hopeful something will stick but the longer it goes on the more confident I feel that we are in a good place.
My only worry is that they will declare that the FFP was too complicated unreliable after Everton and Notts Forest appeal and all previous FFP rules will be declared null and void and new rules from August will be implemented.
If this happens they will declare that city charges will have to be withdrawn. This way they don't give us our day in court to be found innocent and in the eyes of red cunts fans our so called guilt will remain forever.
These twats are looking for a way out and leaving a stain on our club may be all they have left once they see we are innocent.
Let's be honest the media for years have dragged our name through the mud at will, continously stuck the boot in quite freely, not give us any credit whatsoever, it was coordinated by the red mardarses clubs and the scumbags in the press.
We will always be cheats in these nobheads eyes but fuck em.

Begs the question why no-one at City thought to stop the **** in his tracks and fuck him off from the campus.

We really are a fucking soft-arsed push over in these circumstances.

Tazer the bastard.
That’s what they want, someone coming out of an office and saying “leave the premises” that would make more negative headlines on our part. We City leave em to it and it hurts them more, he who laughs last laughs loudest and that will be us.

Typical Dan Roan dig at City, Forest and Everton charged, he goes on six o’clock news outside the Etihad. What a bastard! Even if City do end up being found guilty. Everton and Forest knew the rules long after City were charged, and whether or not it is proven either way, they can’t say they weren’t aware, unlike us, because the rules were made up on the spot to defend the cartel. Today’s findings have nothing to do with City, Dan Roan should be banned from anywhere within a mile of the Etihad, preferably sacked.

Won’t protect them from defamation charges imo….I hope the club take them to the cleaners, has to be worth dropping £50M on a legal battle to ‘clear our name’ …..PL, media, clubs…

Txiki left his air rifle at home unfortunately. Should have taken Roan out from behind the picket fence on the grassy knoll.

I used to get really vexed with the fact we never challenged these bullshitters but then it dawned on me, our owners couldn't give two fucks about the lies and the gossip as they have absolutely no time for it and they are absolutely doing everything the right way. I'd be more worried if khaldoon released a statement after every non story about us.
As you were.

Was the knobhead on the campus ?

This smacks of the red shirts panicking/manipulating the football authorities to prove they can govern the game before the govt step in and they lose control.

However in that panic they have lost all credibility. It wouldn’t surprise me if the house of cards tumbles and we’ve already had our punishment - reputation damage that goes no further.
