The difference in the way the incident was reported on Peacock compared to Sky was night and day.

Give one other example where a player has scored direct from a free kick after moving the ball a foot and a half outside the referee's foam marking and then deliberately moving the foam as well to make it look credible?

I’ve seen foam being moved before, but I can’t show you an example as I’ve never thought much about it before.

It tends to be players moving the ball backwards to get more distance between the ball and the wall. This time it was sideways.

To gain an advantage, just as players take corners from outside the quadrant and steal yards on non-ceremonial free kicks.
