In all seriousness, to hear Pep’s closest competitor of recent years talk about the fact he’s exhausted and he’s run out of steam makes you appreciate Pep even more. The man has lived and breathed City for seven whole years non-stop and unlike Liverpool we’ve competed at the very top that whole time. No “seasons off”, no “settling for this year”, just excellence every single year.

It is also makes you realise how strong the wider management team / club structure is to support Pep in being able to keep that level of intensity up so consistently for so long.
 
Annoying ****, but no doubt that he is an exceptional manager and has done wonders with Liverpool. Fair fucks for that interview. He looks tired and burnt-out. I'm just happy we came out on top more often than not and that we won a hell of a lot more titles than them these tough years. It's difficult to say, but all the best Klopp.

Totally shocked!

He's admitted he's burned out & has nothing left in the tank to go again & rebuild. Last season was difficult for him, & he started to consider life beyond the Dippers last summer.

He says his mind was made up in October, & he spoke to his team & the board last November & told them of his decision to leave with his team in the summer.

Those epic battles with Pep has left Klipperty frazzled, & he's got nothing left to give.

This can go one of two ways. His team rises to the announcement to give him the best send off ever, or it could end like Pellegrini's announcement about Pep replacing him, when the wheels fell off our season.

It's tough staying at the top season after season, & something had to give. There's now gonna be a battle royale between Real & the Dippers for Xabi Alonso.

Klopp has pushed Guardiola to levels no other opponent has. I'm sure Baldy will have a sense of loss & relief too. Hopefully it won't make Pep have similar thoughts either.

He said he is being honest. I think if he was seriously poorly he would have alluded to that. To me it just sounds he has lost the energy to keep up with us. It must be extremely difficult to do that every day, which is what it is.

Im thinking too he may have had it put in his ear we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
 
It seems like strange timing. Will be interesting to see what’s triggered his announcement now.
Our wheels dropped off the season when Pellegrini made a similar announcement. Hope the same happens with this lot.

HA HA, the first person on the Talk Sport to talk about Klopp is crying and demanding a statue..
Hoping he’s not ill. Can’t even consider that he just wants out.
