There're is something troubling about this announcement.
Why now?
Why not wait until the end of the season and announce it then?
So many managers have gone that way "time to try new things" "time to take a break and recharge" "time to step back and give more time to my family"
There are so many ways to go about it.
Now his club is in danger of losing its equilibrium, and the media spotlight will be on him constantly.
Looks to me like his ego wants to be massaged to the highest level imaginable. Milk his exit stage left like pisscan did.
Klopp is a wrong'un, 100%
He will change his mind just like fergie did...

I genuinely can't believe they are likening him to Shankly and Paisley. The level of disrespect to previous generations of football is shocking. I suppose it's all to do with the overpowering influence of the media and how they cover sports now. Everything is the 'best ever'. Look at the bullshit around Messi and Ronaldo, and Messi winning the Balon d'Or this year - just nonsense and driven by the number of followers on Instagram or X or whatever it is.

I'm wondering what the coverage will be around Guardiola when he goes. I'm sure there will be a lot of lauding around his achievements but you can be sure there will be plenty of talk around spend and 115 charges.

It’s on a par with the dis-respect for Dalglish by claiming Gerrard to be their best player.

So, in 9 years we've spent £194m more. Approx £21.5m more per season. Still more but certainly not the amount the media narrative would have opposition fans believe.
Exactly, if you believe the media and that dickhead Henry Winter you’d believe Pep had spent a billion without any outgoings and team rebuilding and Klopp had spent a pittance in the same time period, which is just absolutely shite, they just don’t want to compare the net spend to trophies won.

Why is net spend even a thing now? Well I know, it's to make all these teams that spend an arse load and don't win anything, look good, but it's bollocks.
Never used to be a thing, but because they couldn't accuse City of buying success, cos that's what they were trying to do, they invented this.
Net spend is a better metric than total transfer expenditure when it comes to evaluating FFP and financial health.

Not managed to log in for a while, baby teething, been a bit of a mare.

On the subject. Couldn’t give a single fuck. Sayonara, go cry somewhere else that football is unfair after spending a billion pounds.

Get sideways fucked.

He’s going to get pelters isn’t he?
Remember when Raheem asked to leave?
I expect nothing less than those fine upstanding righteous cheeky chappie scousers to let him know in no uncertain terms just how they feel about his ungrateful behaviour in leaving the biggest, bestest ever club in the whole wide world. He’s let them down and nothing less than a mass burning of anything toothy related shall take place in the same spot that the last heretic, Torres, was taught a lesson.
For me now his legacy is tainted the trophies don’t mean more after all.
Yes, he’s getting it, isn’t he? Isn’t he……………..
