There're is something troubling about this announcement.
Why now?
Why not wait until the end of the season and announce it then?
So many managers have gone that way "time to try new things" "time to take a break and recharge" "time to step back and give more time to my family"
There are so many ways to go about it.
Now his club is in danger of losing its equilibrium, and the media spotlight will be on him constantly.
Looks to me like his ego wants to be massaged to the highest level imaginable. Milk his exit stage left like pisscan did.

I agree.. their new players signed this season knowing he would be around. Also, players stayed knowing he would be around. Not only that they have made this announcement at the end of the January transfer window.. there’s not much players can do at this stage.
I don't expect a drop off in form, but it will be interesting to see what happens in the summer.
