What was the context?
I've haven't listened to it but he could be praising him that he has a nasty streak that top players need to succeed.

Why a fairy-tale LaLiga title for Girona could be bad news for Man City
UEFA's multiclub ownership rules mean that if Girona win LaLiga and Manchester City don't retain their Premier League title, things will get awkward.www.espn.com
Ogden cant seem to hide his desperation.
nine minutes in.
I think its praise.
He must know that, it's his job to research this kind of thing Shirley?I thought that this had already been debunked.
My recollection is that there are rules, and it's based on majority shareholding. CFG own less than 50% of Girona, so it's fine.
Surely its lazy journalism. He must know that, it's his job to research this kind of thing Shirley?

Of course he does. It’s just more innuendo, so if we both qualify, the media, Talk Sport & the like can call us out on it & complain about how unfair it isHe must know that, it's his job to research this kind of thing Shirley?
Erm…..we’ll have to win it again this season for that to be true mateEven if the premise were true it’s still incorrect.
It doesn’t matter where City finish. Why? Because we are the holders.
When Liverpool were holders and finished outside the top 4 they still qualified and the rule was subsequently changed so that being the holders trumps all the other rules. So even if Girona won the league it would have zero impact on City wherever they finished.
The holders defend the trophy…. always…. In all circumstances.
Absolutely correct. Brain fart on my part! We will win it this season again though ;-)Erm…..we’ll have to win it again this season for that to be true mate
