We need a brown kit for the Liverpool game because that's the colour of our shorts every time we go there .
Humans are psychologically wired to expect the worst-case scenario. It is a defence/survival mechanism. To be pessimistic isn’t definitively the human condition. We are all different in that respect at least.
It’s this deployment of the word ‘realism’ from those of a pessimistic disposition that especially gets on my tits, because their perspective goes against the weight of experience in recent years. So they don’t have a monopoly on reality, just their own perception of it.
And I haven’t stridently predicted we will win it, just that we can and imo it’s likely we will. That doesn’t make me blindly optimistic, just applying common sense and experience to the equation.
I'm not going to argue all day with you; we'll agree to disagree on this. That doesn’t make what they say to be fair, which is what you literally said.
They are entitled to their opinions, but those opinions are not fairly or rationally held.
Ok.I'm not going to argue all day with you; we'll agree to disagree on this.
I don’t agree. Plenty of people are inveterate risk takers who think that everything will work out fine, or come good in the end. They often take irrational risks because they assume that those risks will bear fruit. If humans were exclusively psychologically wired to expect the worst case scenario then no one would gamble, for example.Humans are psychologically wired to expect the worst-case scenario. Peeps need to rationalise their fear of failure.
Just humans doing human!
Absolutely!12 months ago today we drew at Forest and the doom merchants were out in force. Not promising this season will have the same outcome but way too soon to be coming to conclusions now with the inevitable twists and turns still to come.
Even a draw would leave it out of our hands. That's the main pisser from yesterday. Before kick off, we knew that if we matched the cultists' results up to the game at Anfield, a draw would have been fine. Not now.We absolutely can not lose at anfield.
If they beat us, they will win the league
We’ve drawn the last 2We need a brown kit for the Liverpool game because that's the colour of our shorts every time we go there .
We have a few tough ones before then.We absolutely can not lose at anfield.

Lost last season thereWe’ve drawn the last 2
We work on the majority principle. There's always exceptions to the rules.I don’t agree. One win in twenty years. We’ve drawn the last 2
One win in twenty years.
Three wins in the league in over seventy years. One win in twenty years.
I said at the time along with many others that out transfer window was terrible.I agree, Doku, Kovacic and Nunes have not improved us one iota. We just don’t have that fire power and defensive stability this season.
I’m keeping the faith, mate. :-)It’s not fair enough though, is it? it’s actually completely unfair, ungracious and disrespectful to a group of players that have given us so much. Thank fuck the players aren’t as mentally weak as so many posters on here.
Like @urban genie said, what the fuck are this tedious lot going to be like when we inevitably fall away when Pep leaves? Needy and boring as fuck is the simple answer.
Would be a bloody amazing seasonWe are definitely still in the race, but I have concerns about the chances we concede to our opponents eg Chelsea had several opportunities to score yesterday on the break. Defensively we need to improve, playing Stones if fit is a must imo. By the end of March we will know if we can still win the League.
Winning the CL and the FA Cup wouldn't be the worst season.
CrikeyThree wins in the league in over seventy years.
