The only player to come back from such a bad injury straight back to world class.

So true, that break has done wonders for him, I had my doubts he would get back to previous levels but delighted to say I was very wrong, the way he is going he could even surpass previous efforts!!

Loving how Kevin is playing since his return but also anxious about how we can possibly replace him once he leaves. I guess we just have to enjoy the next couple of seasons and hope that he steers clear of injuries. I think when he does leave he will be regarded as our best ever player.

We had the same worries about replacing David Silva, and things haven't turned out too badly.

Strangely few comments.... Reflected the team I thought, worked hard but not a lot of vintage kdb. However he absolutely put it on a plate for Haaland with a lovely cross, but wasn't to be.

Result wise, little to complain about but you could argue David Silva is excactly what this team is screaming out for when we struggle

I think Kev should be given a deeper role using his quarter back skills to deliver killer passes. Having him chasing down full backs is an utter waste of his remaining games for us.

A deeper role will require even more energy and workrate. Look at how much ground Bernado needs to cover when he plays next to Rodri. It will kill kev. Kev needs to play close to the box

It keeps the opposition manager and coaches on their toes, keeps the opposition players wary. Having him on the bench as opposed to out the squad is about marginal gains. If the Brentford players were told he was not in the squad before KO it’d have given them a boost.
Was a good decision.
