It was Ian Niven who started the junior blues
It's not particularly what Jordan says that damages us. It's the incessant barrage of comments on social media outlets that we are the cheating club who buy success and can't fill our stadium. The misinformation campaign that is put out there by stupid kids and daft young blokes I think does damage us.Pretty sure kids are more arsed about Haaland banging in 50 goals a season than they are of what Simon Jordan et al say.

I have young lads. They regularly say "Everyone hates City" and stuff.
I know it's kids' stuff but kids are the future.
Accusing @Didsbury Dave of lickle cityitis should be fun, I know he loves that.. :-)Kids absolutely love City. Everywhere you go you see more and more of them wearing City shirts with Haaland and Grealish on the back.
They will all be pretty much addicted to playing FIFA with their mates and fight over who gets to be City because we’re the best team on there.
They’ll see us win doubles and trebles and scoring incredible goals.
All that is far more important to a kid than 115 charges about club finances or jokes on paddy power’s Twitter page about empty seats. In fact it’s not even that they don’t care - it’s an irrelevance to them.
And this is global. I don’t think kids in this country care about all that rubbish but kids in Asia, Africa, US etc etc will care even less. They just want to follow the best team and that’s city.
Please don’t take it the wrong way but I do think there’s a bit of little old city mentality in all this. We’re now box office. We’re the big boys and people don’t like it. Just the way it is.
Remember when we used to take the piss out of United for their atmosphere and all their fans being from London? Looking back, let’s be honest, it’s because they were the best and we had nothing else to throw at them.
Now they’re doing the same taking the piss about empty seats or no atmosphere? Seriously, boo fucking hoo!
It didn’t bother me when I saw us win the treble in Istanbul and it won’t bother if/when we do it again at Wembley.
Well if the 1988/89 “back in the big time” cap fits…Accusing @Didsbury Dave of lickle cityitis should be fun, I know he loves that.. :-)
I dont, thats why i asked the question. I remember the junior blues starting up, i think early 80s one of my lads joined, however nobody recruited him, it was like joining the cubs. How do you know it’s not?
City started its recruitment policy over 50 years ago with the Junior Blues concept.

The club actively encouraged (in other words recruited) young kids to join the Junior Blues.I dont, thats why i asked the question. I remember the junior blues starting up, i think early 80s one of my lads joined, however nobody recruited him, it was like joining the cubs.
Haha.Accusing @Didsbury Dave of lickle cityitis should be fun, I know he loves that.. :-)
Eh ??Nice of him to get a shout in for @oakiecokie
rather amusingly you don’t appear to understand the word “recruitment”.I dont, thats why i asked the question. I remember the junior blues starting up, i think early 80s one of my lads joined, however nobody recruited him, it was like joining the cubs.
Good to see you’re a late convert to the Agenda Theory, mate.Haha.
I stand by my point. This is damaging our reputation and recruitment. I’m a junior football coach in Yorkshire and Liverpool are still attracting more kids than us. It’s difficult to quantify but this year it’s reached a peak and I want us to fight back.
Eh ??
Terrific club - what they do for the community and older generation fans and ex players is extraordinary.
Are you the same person who didn't have a clue what I was talking about.?rather amusingly you don’t appear to understand the word “recruitment”.
Yes.Are you the same person who didn't have a clue what I was talking about.?
You been listening to Gil Scott Heron- B Movie?Going to the match on the tram etc. - I look around and there is the whole gamut of fans - young and old etc. etc. People in their 70's and 80's making their way there in the pissing rain and all conditions - following us home and away - will never have thought in their wildest dreams we'd experience and witness what they have/are. Then you think of the witch-hunt and you do feel it's hanging over us all - sometimes you can sense the reservation and apathy - incredibly unfair, made up on the hoof rules by the entitled, to dampen and undermine what we as fans are spending our hard earned money and savings on - yep it becomes deflating and incredibly sad at times. Totally unfair, as it is on Everton and Forest etc.
Wave after wave of shit. No appreciation. Now and again we wallow in defiance - but let's face it - rather we weren't being put through this constantly.
Every angle of negative reporting is chucked at us - and of course favourable coverage or turning an unquestioning blind eye for the usual suspects -
Liverpool hacking/industrial espionage - swept under the carpet.
Liverpool allowed what is in effect a propaganda style pre-game Haka - observed by all broadcasters and promoted as a shining example of knowledgeable fans - never mind the following 90 minutes of quiet.
Arsenal - suddenly pretending they have a meaningful pre-match anthem - embarrassing in the extreme, but never questioned, never-mind mocked.
Liverpool - attacking and damaging team's coaches and endangering those inside, that come to play them, in a premeditated, criminal ambush - no action from anyone.
United - A tramp buys a small % of a crumbling club - he's being used as a foil and a buffer - but hey - he's the second coming.
Scruffy Jim taps up employees from rival clubs - his alleged M.O. of asset stripping continues - it's astute business practice!
Just basic journalism about the Arsenal's Letter-headed letter and the catalyst meeting - a doumentary? a Panorama? Dispatches? - No - fck all!
City's regeneration of East (and more) Manchester? - a byline if we're lucky.
But....
Pissing down, cold evening, traffic chaos, early kick off - some empty seats at 7.15!!!! Hold the FRONT PAGE!!!!
Haha.

If they are that fickle they can fuck off anywayAround 2013 I was coaching kids in Australia & there was more City kits than any others, previously all the kids were in Rags, Barca & Madrid then the attacks on City started & I noticed the kits drop & the Dippers take over.
Great stuff mate. FWIW, Our Supporters Club Branch was set up a dozen years or more ago by a couple of Scots who’d fallen in love with City. Lewis had gone to Blackpool expecting them to take on the rags in the bank holiday friendly. There had been a misprint in the schedule and he watched City by chance. That’s great to see. I moved to Harrogate in 1984 absolutely loved the place and was gutted to move on in 1992. The only City fans I knew was my two sons and a guy I worked with who moved from Cheadle Heath a few years before me. We were joined by another three who moved over from Manchester to work at the CEGB and that was pretty well it. Wall to wall dirty Leeds. I used to say to the Yorkies that I was over there doing Missionary Work - it’s good to see your evangelical work amongst the heathens in paying off :)
His Son his a City fan also...he's also quite fair in his assessment of football these days too..and he absolutely blasted Liverpool and Utd t,boot..This was talkshites pathetic attempt to respond to that City fan who rinsed Jordan & white a week back outing the RED CARTEL and now the penny has dropped with other fans of how true the RED CARTEL control football in England AND Europe. Ade Durham best Mate is a City fan so I presume he has taken up the gauntlet on his behalf - Ade also outed Harry Redknaps false FA Cup win (8 of the players had not been paid for the club went into administration so never paid for them and should be stripped of the FA Cup)
