Gigs Thread

Haven’t been to a gig for a good few months, but I’ve just bought tickets for Mick Head & TRAB at Gorilla, got Bill Ryder Jones In Liverpool next month and The National later this year. Ride tickets just released as well which is very tempting.

Bill Ryder Jones album is possibly his best yet and Mick's new one should be good as produced by Bill. Looking at seeing Mick in London or Brighton possibly.

I agree mate, loving BRJ’s new one and him a Mick are a match made in heaven. If it’s only half as good as Dear Scott it’ll still be superb.
 
Noticed a singer that was on Jools Holland last year is playing band on the wall in Manchester on 6th April. Sort of jazz/gospel. I thought she was great so been keeping any eye out. Typically I am away so can’t go but at £20 a ticket this looks a decent gig for anyone interested in that type of music and if it’s shit no big loss !

Starts the ball rolling for the year for me gig wise.

Got Jake Bugg, Echo and Bunnymen and Starsailor in March.

The Bunnymen are playing a warm up show in Gloucester in front of 400. I’m at the much bigger Albert Hall which isn’t my favourite venue but for the Bunnymen it should be good.

They were really good. Highly recommend. Transmission were okay too.
 
Just got onto the presale for Pearl Jam on Ticket Master, what a fucking scam. How can people be reselling tickets at double the price within a minute of them going on sale?
 
With some great bands on the circuit we re in for a treat this year.
Acdc, Rammenstien, the Boss Springsteen, Pearl Jam.... I hope to be working at.

The jungle are one of the ones i just wanna see. Huge tours and new festivals all over the place.
 
Just been to watch a Smiths tribute band in Warrington. These Smiths. First gig of the year and they were a bit rusty to say the least. They got better as the night went on. Saying that it was £11 in and £7 a round for a pint of San Miguel and Guinness so can’t grumble!
 
Slowdive tonight. Just waiting for my Mrs at Oxford Rd station. Toss up then between the support band or first half of the match. Assuming it’s on TV
