Wasn't great yesterday but I've noticed a few times that when he's on the pitch we go down that side over and over again.

He gets doubled teamed, but that should open up space on the other side or middle.

Just feels that when he's on the pitch we can be a bit predictable in our attacks.

Maybe don’t. Because it’s your interpretation of a non event. Why the fuck would he be unhappy that we’d equalised.
Its a fabrication.

Maybe don’t be such a mard arse.

It’s a Doku thread. It was a fair observation. Don’t agree with it then fair enough. Read my post again and you’ll realise it was light hearted.

Saying not to mention it is ridiculous. It’s a City fan forum on a Doku thread. Where else would I mention it. Move on anyway if it’s upset you.

The things some lads get upset about really.

Anyway I think we need to wait until next season to judge whether Doku will be a success or not. He has got plenty of game time and will be acutely aware of deficiencies in his game that need to be worked on. Has he potential? yes. Will he be in the starting 11 this time next year? Maybe.

He does always have a startled look on his face. Like he’s just walked in on his parents getting down and dirty! Haha!

He gets double marked so it’s hard to get through a low block . Whilst Doku is double marked and Haaland is also double marked it does enable Phil to deliver amazing goals like yesterday. Problem is that is a huge ask -,for long spells of the game we looked unlikely to ever find a way through.

everything apart from being in a new country that you use to defend Doku could be applied to Grealish

The latter was nearly 26 when we signed him, the former 21. On the other hand, you are right about the pressure coming with the record price tag.

Doku has lost confidence over the last 2-3 weeks. He was in top form when we played Liverpool, and was our best attacker in the 1st half vs Everton 3 weeks ago. Think he will help us win some of the big games in the run-in. The fact Pep starts him in big games says everything.

It’s a decent comparison, actually. Neither Grealish nor Doku had been coached properly before coming to us. They were both used solely as dribbling outlets for their sides and given free rein to do their thing.

Age isn’t really a factor.

It would be better if he could be used as an impact sub but the injuries to Grealish this season means he's having to start more games than probably planned.

I think he'll come good with time but when both are fully fit, I would usually start Grealish in the big games.
