Is that the one with the huge atrium?
Sorry to hear that. Where are you heading to?I’ve lived there for 5 years but I’m leaving next month. It’s a great place to live, but it’s just not economical any more. The company I work for was fucked by covid and has never recovered.
Back to Saigon. Should be fun. 10 years after I was last there and they still haven’t finished the fucking metro.Sorry to hear that. Where are you heading to?
You should, its a fantastic city.We stayed at Traders but many a year ago. It was very nice indeed and we had a great time there. KL is probably my 2nd favourite city. I could happily live there.
When is your leaving do? I may be free :-)I’ve lived there for 5 years but I’m leaving next month. It’s a great place to live, but it’s just not economical any more. The company I work for was fucked by covid and has never recovered.
Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is amazingMandarin Oriental or Shanghai La chains probably but my personal favourite is the Eastern & Oriental in Penang.
The Peninsula in Kowloon is fabulous. I never actually stayed there, but had ‘dinner’ there many times. The Starck designed restaurant was a real treat. The Peninsula on Kowloon mid 90’s for one night which I just about managed to just get past expenses with work as they had fucked up royally with my itinerary when I needed to get back home for a set date. That said I didn’t take the piss and actually eat in the place.
Paid for myself probably the Table Bay in Cape Town where we had a corner suite for a couple of nights which even 19 years ago was eye watering price wise.
Worst some absolute shithole in Delhi once again a company booked clusterfuck
Outstanding.
A lot of pilots get their eyeglasses from the Optical shop in the arcade at the Peninsula, but certainly don’t stay there!!
It helps that the Star Ferry from Wanchai, Hong Kong docks right outside, and there are a few outstanding restaurants in the vicinity, too.
In Delhi, if you go there again, try the JW Marriott at AeroCity. It’s right by the airport, good access to town, and a very secure restaurant-shopping area in AeroCity.
Albert TatlockAnyone stayed at the midland?
Good luck with the move.Back to Saigon. Should be fun. 10 years after I was last there and they still haven’t finished the fucking metro.
Many times. We get some good deals on Secret Escapes and have a day out in town a few times a year. Great breakfast and executive room for around £120.Anyone stayed at the midland?
Haha. Not really. The one in Manchester had a towel warming rack in the bathroom that I used to keep my meat pies warm.
I Just had to ask the wife if the radison even had a bar or restaurant.
I don’t think it did but it was a stunning building.
