Afternoon, Txiki!I'm notoriously tight, but he's the one player I'd smash our transfer record for.

If he’s leaving, more likely we’ll try to use him in any deal with West Ham for Paqueta.Maybe Benfica get Nunes, since we will buy heavy this summer, and midfield will get stacked
We can give them Kalvin , Gomez & HamiltonMaybe Benfica get Nunes, since we will buy heavy this summer, and midfield will get stacked
That sounds like a football manager type of deal. When was the last time we did a swap involving 3 players? We would still need to give them more or less 80 million euros on top as well.We can give them Kalvin , Gomez & Hamilton
Doubt Moyes is there next seasonWhy would Nunes want to go to West Ham and that dinosaur Moyes? Let's get real
If he is they might buy PhillipsDoubt Moyes is there next season
Thats the beauty when dealing with Benfica, we can do play and cash swap deals, but deary me, this Benfica players are expensive!!!hmm? looks like Otamendi+Cash = Ruben Dias deal?
he's only 29 (30 in august), surely got another 2-3 years left at a high level before he goes back to retire in the Portuguese league.![]()
JACK GAUGHAN: Bernardo Silva earned SALVATION after penalty woes
JACK GAUGHAN: More iconic but then none more redemptive than Wembley. When he does eventually leave, those standing behind that goal will remember their beating heart thumping the badge.www.dailymail.co.uk
A release clause in his latest contract changes the landscape ahead of the summer and it is still to be seen whether those numbers are attainable for interested parties – one likely to be former club Benfica, where Silva hopes to finish his career.

He's won it all at the highest level in the game apart from the World Cup. If Bernie returned to Benfica now, he'd be a meaningful upgrade for them, as opposed to going back in three years time as a waning former star on a farewell tour before retirement.he's only 29 (30 in august), surely got another 2-3 years left at a high level before he goes back to retire in the Portuguese league.
Is United still the favorite for his services? That would suuuck
This thread started in November 2023 with mention of his buy out clause, which although expensive is something we could trigger. We have have shown we are building a spine for the future (Gvardiol/X/Foden/Haaland). so Neves would fit the X. The Benfica forum is increasingly resigned to the fact that he's leaving, so I just hope it's to join the Benfica alumni in M11.
