For what it's worth mate, I think PSA tests whilst very important can also give all sorts of signals. My BiL found he had advanced Prostate Cancer and yet all his PSA results were always in the normal range. I had one recently that was affected by taking antibiotics and Im being retested in a few weeks. The Doc told me not to have sex or ride a bicycle (especially not both at the same time I guess !) for a couple of days before the test. Your numbers though increasing a little are all good - I'm sure they would have said if there was a cause for concern as they're obviously keeping a close eye on you.
Hi mate PSA is very complicated it’s like what Rob posted it fluctuates regarding on all types of reasons mine was 0.3 but that was after a prostectomy so we knew cancer had returned or not been completely eradicated, so different PSA levels are not all uniformed .
I think 2.9 is just below the danger limit, isn't it? Anyway, good that you are on active surveillance as that will enable action as soon as it's needed.

Hi pal I’ll try and be brief not being rude just going out for a walk, I had my prostate removed at the time after meeting Surgeons and Christie’s both on the same day we went for the surgical route . There’s no one size fits all in this it depends on if you have children or still want children etc and your health. Both are complicated with major side effects, As I say
No problem, hope you enjoyed your walk. No one size fits all, I'm sure your right. At this stage he has to take the consultants advice. Doesn't want more children that's for sure, but needs to get it out, if its still a small growth and less than a year old, seeing as it has not spread. Here's hoping, thanks for thr reply.

Yes, I’m not quite sure where it would become a concern, I’ve seen figures between 3 & 5 and it seems to be a bit age dependent. It has been between 2 & 3 for two years now. I take the view that until I’m told otherwise things are under control. So I can relax for 4 months until the next test unless something dramatic changes meantime.
I don’t expect you to read back the thread but I’ve posted about my best mate who was diagnosed in Feb 2015 with incurable Prostate Cancer, it had spread to his pelvis so removing the gland wasn’t an option.
