PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Source. Super City From Maine Road - Facebook

NEWS DROP:

I’ll start by making it clear that the following post is not based on confirmed fact.
However, the source from within the club which this post is based on has said things in the past that panned out exactly the way they said it would, including managerial appointments, transfers and the UEFA CAS conclusion.

So… City have successfully cleared their name before Murray Rosen KC and his independent commission panel appointed by the Premier League. The charges have again failed to stand up to scrutiny.
City are now working with the Premier League to decide and implement the best exit strategy for the shit storm that will unfold once the official announcement is made.

With other clubs already punished and millions of football fans around the world whole heartedly expecting this process to be a formality with a view to City facing the music, it’s not going to go down well at all.
Both Etihad Stadium security and the security of the Premier League’s head office in central London are being reviewed and bolstered in anticipation of the fallout.
In addition to these ongoing plans, City have prepared multiple legal proceedings against various individuals and organisations (not limited to the UK) who have been deemed to assert City as guilty before due process has concluded.

The Premier League must now lie in the hole that it’s dug for itself. They had the opportunity to stop what they were doing when UEFA failed at CAS, they didn’t. They had the opportunity to stop when City refused offer of settlement, they didn’t.
Why they didn’t is likely part of the bigger picture that involves other clubs within the league and their overreach of power and influence over the years.
I urge you now to buy popcorn while it’s still in stock blues… THE SCENES WILL BE BIBLICAL

Tell people what they want to hear and they will believe it...

I'm confident about my information that the PL want some sort of settlement.

@gordondaviesmoustache has talked about the use of the phrase "...will be resolved..." alluding to a settlement rather than going full speed ahead with a hearing based on a weak case.

Alberto Galassi's interview also suggests that the club feels it's on the verge of a successful outcome.

And I've always been confident and maintained these alleged breaches are very weak, and have either been rejected by CAS or considered not worth bothering with by UEFA.

It's also possible that the IC has come to the conclusion that these breaches aren't considered fraudulent and therefore outside the statutory 6- year limit under UK law.
Some sort of agreement, I would’ve thought Khaldoon wants all to be dropped no deals, he doesn’t want anything ever hanging over us.

That is very true. Sometimes, however, what's being said is right, and knowing what happened at CAS, it is entirely within the realms of possibility that recent reports are in fact correct. Only time will tell. Maybe not as long to wait as we first thought too.

First of all, I love Tolmie’s tweets and posts and I always want to believe that they are true. He’s not always been correct and I can understand the scepticism surrounding the latest update on the PL investigation but there is more than one piece of public information available that corroborates the current stance.

Goldbridge’s change of direction is a hint, Jordan’s change of direction is another one but for me the kicker that brings more than a shred of credibility to all this is the comment made by Alberto Galassi, a board member at Manchester City since 2012 who stated along the lines of (excuse me if I don’t get this word for word) “I am not allowed to comment but you can tell by my body language that I am supremely confident about the outcome”.

Galassi is an attorney at law specialising in international commerce and arbitration.

I for one am quite confident that these cease and desist warnings are genuine and as Tolmie stated, the club are doing this from a position of strength.
I do think the Jordan reversal is hyper suggestive, and the silence from other sources is strange, but it would not surprise me if Goldbridge was upset because he did not get one.

Are we calling a Facebook post a ‘report’ now? Or have I missed something? It’s actually no wonder so many people pretend to be ITK. By simply saying what people want to hear, you get propelled to a large social media following. You never get a fake ITK that dishes out bad news! People see right through made up bad news. But good news has magical powers.

If there is any substance to these rumours I would expect starting developments within days. Personally I find it hard to believe the authorities would be prepared to pull the plug before a full hearing even if the legal advice is not favourable. However, happy days if they do.
It didn’t take CAS long to reject the UEFA case. It could be a very quick hearing.

This whole case is about dirtying our club name and undermining our achievements.
Do these red top twats really think we are so stupid that we would leave a paper trail of fraud for some muppet to find from his bedroom pc.
The club already know this, and have been put to trial before and come out it clean as a whistle.
We now have no other alternative but to add some pressure to the constant stream of lying and slandering.
I hope we actually go after a few in the courts then we can really find out the truth about why these charges are being brought about again.

Tony Evans has clearly had his card marked by the club and he isn't happy...

Seems to me he has a choice, he can carry on saying what he has, if he believes it to be true, and then have his day in court and defend what he has been saying. Shouldn't be an issue for him if he's confident in what he has been saying. But it seems to me he isn't overly confident.
