PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Have we been exonerated yet? Just asking for a friend. Anyway because I’m in sunny spain every twat is a dipper, tarquin, rag, or multiple’s of all and battering the twats away to a point that I don’t bother anymore just smile politely at them whilst thinking fuck the lot of yer. Champions of England champions of Europe champions of the world.
Not yet bob, however virtually every single aspect of this matter has been discussed, mentioned, deliberated at least six dozen times.

Excellent. And well done on keeping focused when faced with constant and frankly childish interruptions. In management roles I always used the trick of waiting for the interruptor to finish, then calmly say 'If I may interrupt your interruption..?' That usually pressed home the message..

Your contributions (and those of Prestwich Blue et al) to everyone's understanding of this difficult and dangerous situation facing our club are most welcome and always illuminating.

Keep doing that voodoo that you do so well..

Which one is project? Which one is PB?

All that is important is that we prove our innocence to those that matter.

Those that don’t matter will believe what they want to and we would be no different if United were charged.

I would love to get an apology and compensation from the PL but it’s not going to happen.

I am looking forward to Khaldoon’s response when the trial is at an end.

I've had a quick listen back to the City section. Don't think I'd say anything different. Not really sure what Gorton's issue is - most likely stylistic (tough) or a lack of understanding (try to read more on the topic).
Here is the City section (along with grimace):

The use of the word "disagree" is amusing. Used in a similar way to the Brexit debates where they'd get some pub landlord to "disagree" with an economist with expertise in European economics and policy.

I can "disagree" with a nuclear physicist based on a few YouTube videos if I want. It wouldn't make our opinions equal.

Thanks for all your efforts in explaining these matters from an expert point of view Stefan. I very much enjoy your contributions to the 93:20 podcast and I have done for some time.

Point 4 that Jordan made today , was actually pointed out to him by Steffan about 2mths ago when he was on last time. Jordan didnt come across as really understanding the seriousness of the charges back then, and was just implying that City would employ a big legal team to get away with what they had done. Steffan repeatedly pulled him up on that and said they have every right to good legal representation given the seriousness of the charges.
Put another way, if a certain Simon Jordan was accused of shoplifting then he wouldn’t spend £1 million on legal representation but if he was accused of murder he would.

I’ve not seen the whole Talkshite war of words, but after Jordan’s last mauling by Stefan live on air, it looks like Jordan came for a proper, prolonged and no holds barred argument this time, live in air.

A freelancer is more likely to be held personally liable than a FTE. But, as you rightly question, - it depends entirely on what the cause of action is, what the facts are, and whether or not there's an agency or employee relationship.
Usually the publisher throws in the towel and by doing so, implicates/exposes/admits the libel of the journalist. Should the freelancer/journalist feel strongly aggrieved, exposed and undermined by this - then it's down to how deep their pockets are and/how strong their evidence is. Assuming there is no punishment - then not very.

Unless you have a Ltd company, then you are pretty much fire proof of any financial threats.

No paper goes after a freelance, certainly a trusted one.

The papers pay hundreds of pounds per hour to lawyers to sit around the office all day and decide what is able to be published.
