PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I have noticed that during major junctures in the season that the sports media tends to turn the heat up about FFP and City, hear we are at the pivotal moment of the season and the media space is flooded with City and FFP, most of it’s click bait and none of it tells anyone anything new I don’t think it’s a coincidence
Been happening for years.
It usually ends up with them getting egg on their faces

I've written to Man City's media department asking them to challenge the report. Bearing in mind the BBC are supposed to be impartial, there should be a strong case for this article to be at least edited or even deleted.
I’ve just complained to the bbc making the same points and asking them to refer their article to BBC Verify for an opinion on its validity

Tbh, without making an assessment on the whys and wherefores now, the questions are in the public domain, if clumsily expressed. I think it is just a poorly written article from someone in the sport's department who doesn't know what he is talking about. Why should he? The fault isn't with the guy writing it, it is with the editor who allows it to be published without a review by someone with a legal background and some knowledge of the case to ensure it meets some sort of standard. Especially on such a complicated and high profile issue.
It's full of mistakes and takes no account of what the CAS judgement said about lack of evidence. A disaster of an article. It is also totally out of context. There is no rationale to randomly publish this article other than to try and damage City. It will have been authorised by someone senior and you can only assume they have acted in bad faith. There is not a single source quoted in it and non of the allegations are even attributed to any source. Nothing is qualified and there is no attempt at balance. It is as if it has been written by a child.

With quotes like “What do the charges mean? Effectively Man City cheated” and “when will Man City be published” the assumption of readers has to be guilt. All whilst legal proceedings are ongoing. It’s an utter disgrace of an article from a national broadcaster and city should be taking legal action now

Only giss

“When will City be punished?”

Do City have media and legal departments?

Silence may be the noble / professional approach but I can’t see how it’s helping. We are hated because we aren’t part of the cartel. Being quiet won’t stop bullies using the courts and the media.

But what do I know. We shall see.

All it does is put the bit between City’s teeth even more , they just don’t learn do they ? When the charges came out , Pep retaliated big time

As supporters of the club we are becoming the whipping boys.
The club seems to be burying it's head for the sake of not rocking the boat.
FFS do something to stop theas clowns.
I personally am losing patience with our clubs stance

Nothing libel in the article it's just isn't written very well with a lot of "when" that headline is asking when then explaining it all appallingly!

The club’s stance will be on the back of legal advice you don’t pay these KCs and ignore their strategy Once the case is closed then I’m sure the club will have their say anything they do at the moment will be carefully considered and done without drama and in the background
