Your penalty criteria is not making sense. So only shots on target should result in a penalty? If he made an attempt at goal, it was going about 20 yards wide.

Gvsrdiol’s shot had been completed before the collision happened. This happens multiple times a game including at every corner.Your penalty criteria is not making sense. So only shots on target should result in a penalty?
Non league my arse.Kavanagh on Tuesday.
Hard to see any trend with him. He is from Ashton Under Lyne but another non league fan !
I don’t recall any truly bad performances from him.
Don't think it was for time-wasting as the throw-in was on the other side of the pitch. Most likely for dissent as just before we'd been given a goal-kick and Fulham players thought it should've been a corner. One thing he did well was call over Reid in the 4th minute after Robinson was taking a while on the throw in and basically said cut that shit out.
Kavanagh's PL record below, you can tailor the table data to show "discipline" or "results" for "current season" or "all seasons", he's been a Pl ref since 2017Kavanagh on Tuesday.

There is an old saying, you play rugby with your head and play football with your feet. That should tell everybody anything you need to know about football, it's ex players and administrators. It will never get anywhere near rugby regards efficiency of VAR.what an absolute pile of piss.
Rugby makes it work with barely an error and have done for years, football fiddle with it every season and somehow make it worse season after season, clueless twats.
Yeah the Spurs record is good! I didn’t want to mention that though as the worriers would worry more :-)Kavanagh's PL record below, you can tailor the table data to show "discipline" or "results" for "current season" or "all seasons", he's been a Pl ref since 2017

He's been in charge of City for 10 matches we have a 60% win percentage which is below Pep's 73% win record with us.
A bad decision this season which springs to mind was his decision to disallow our goal at Anfield involving Akanji.
Liverpool have a 72% win ratio with him, quite a bit higher than Klopp's win % of 59% he has with Liverpool overall.
Spurs have a 71% win ratio with him, higher than Spurs win % under any of their managers. Conte had 53%, Mourinho and Postecoglou both had 51%
It always amazes me that all these honest guys who love football and virtually none of them have a top club that they followed and that was back in the days of reasonably cheap easy to get tickets.Kavanagh on Tuesday.

A City draw against Spurs would give Arsenal the title advantage, the disallowed goal against Liverpool was a big mistake by Kavanagh against us imo. Some posters have suggested he supports Liverpool?Ah, statistics.
Of the PL matches that Kavanagh has reffed Spurs in, the biggest sides they've beaten are Newcastle and Villa this season. Overall 9-2-2, with 8 of those being Spurs at home.
He appears only to have reffed them against a 'big 6' once, and they lost.
For City, the PL record is 6-3-0 (draws Liverpool (h), MU (a), Newcastle (a)). In 5 of the matches, City were at home.
Before this season, the last one he did was 2 seasons ago.
We did lose to Newcastle in the league cup this season under his reffing.
I don't think that anything could be drawn from those numbers (from transfermarkt) that suggests anything untoward.

A lot of posters were unimpressed by Kavanagh's performance in the EFL Cup loss to Newcastle this season.

A second half performance to forget. Trebles still onforums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk
A typical post match comment from the thread above was: "Thought the ref had a shocker though, he let them get away with loads, especially Joelinton who left his foot in about 4 times"
I remember Pep was very unhappy with Kavanagh's performance.
Hopefully we will have enough to beat Spurs regardless of the referee.
Jesus, in a game like this you’d have thought they’d pick one of the “top” referees.Kavanagh on Tuesday.

I take your point ;-)Mate, if you’re going to supply evidence to support a claim that a referee had a bad game, can I suggest that lifting quotes from a fans forum of the losing team, isn’t always going to be the most impartial guide?
He disallowed a perfect good goal for no foul on Allison in the home game this seasonKavanagh on Tuesday.

However a long time has passed since the cup loss and I provided a link to the post match comments so fans could remind themselves of the game.
Kavanagh had a poor game, Pep was furious with his performance, but it was not the only reason we lost. We put a weakened team out, including Philips, Gomez and Nunes.
There's normally one or two post match supportive comments of the officials if they have had a decent game, even on a fans forum like this, but I doubt you will find any for this match?
I was looking at my WhatsApp messages of the game I wrote at the time:
[27/09/2023, 21:59]: Pep was unhappy with some of their 2nd half tackles
[27/09/2023, 22:23]: Kavanagh was very weak, influenced by home crowd,
[27/09/2023, 22:24]: Their crowd and tackling in second half was fierce
Edit: came across this comment from @117 M34 in that thread:
"We have had this conversation before but he is 100% a Liverpool fan.
When we played Liverpool in the carabao cup final, he was sat in their end with a Liverpool shirt on.
His official club is droylsden.
When his former workplace used to do the wear a football shirt to work and bring a quid in for charity he never took part as he didn't want everyone to know he was a Liverpool fan.
Someone who works at City (who everyone here would recognise but few would know their name) that will speak to pep and the players several times a week also knows all of this so pretty sure pep knows he's a Liverpool fan too"
I certaintly don't believe for a minute, that most PL referee's don't secretely support one of the big PL clubs, although they might try to hide it and claim to support minnows like Altrincham, Stalybridge ,Tranmere, etc so they get more chances to actually referee the club's they support. You honestly think a current Premier League referee was sat there in a Liverpool shirt and still does their games? And nobody but a guy on Bluemoon noticed it and has picked up on it?
And he’ll happily take the risk of being spotted at a Cup Final amongst 80,000 fans and a world wide TV audience, in a Liverpool shirt. But wearing one for charity at a small work’s do, is one risk too far.
Come on mate.
There’s also a post a couple of pages back claiming he is 100% a United fan aswell.
And without ever being on there, I would bet every last penny i have that there’s at least one person on the Liverpool forum claiming he is 100% a City fan.
