Would depend on how he used his defence, we know Stones can step into midfield.and whether Bellingham played more box to box.

It’s hard not to think how Pep would set up. He’d probably try that front 5 set up.

I guess Maguire wouldn’t play and we’d pick a more proactive defender that can pass a ball into the build up well.

The full backs aren’t great at inverting either. It’s not easy to balance the team.

Yes, when you think how Pep would set them up, it breaks down with the defenders and keepers available.

Nobody is getting hysterical. It is merely an opinion.
It is a joke if Mainoo goes over Wharton as there is a lack of defensive midfield cover. Mainoo does not offer that cover but is where he is because of who he plays for. Now he may develop into a great attaching midfielder, inside forward but he’s never going to be a defensive midfielder and hasn’t played like one. Therefore, I don’t see how he fits into the squad as there are far better attacking players.

My point is one of balancing the team. This is why Gallagher will be there as well.

And top flight experience means fuck all, never hampered Steve Bull did it.

Anyway it seems Rashford has not gone over Eze at least and Henderson is out. So seems Southgate is seeing the light.
 
Can't wait to see waistcoat with his head tilted to one side explaining why Mainoo deserves his place alongside Quansah and God knows how many others who shouldn't be anywhere near.
