Missed the last parade as I was still in Istanbul. Tried to watch the parade live on my phone, but as you all know the live feed was absolutely shit due to the weather. As such I'll be going to the parade on Sunday regardless of the weather. Once the parade is over I'll have a few scoops in town as it's Bank Holiday on Monday and I'm off work. :-)

These parades are not going to last forever. Enjoy them whilst you can. I love them. Great day out in town with family and friends. Cheer the team and back to the pub for more celebrations. So what if it rains. Last year was biblical and it kind of made it. Can't wait.

Having stood in a queue for over an hour in the pouring rain to enter Freedom Hall in Philadelphia, getting saturated at Mount Vernon whilst visiting George Washingtons grave, soaked to the skin in Hyannis whilst waiting for a ferry to Nantucket Island that got cancelled because the weather was too bad. I think I am well qualified to talk about bad weather.

I am a season ticket holder at the Etihad (Block 211) and have been supporting them since the mid 1950's, I even attended every league match home and way in the 1967/68 Championship winning season in all kinds of weather. Also I was one of a few thousand Blues who was in the Prata stadium when we won the European Cup Winers Cup in 1970, the weather that evening was atrocious.

I have attended every victory parade since and including 1956 and only missed last years because I was on holiday. I am now 78 years of age and pardon me if I decide to give this one a miss.

So you see your assumption was well wide of the mark - as they say in the USA have a great day.

City have won six of the last seven league titles and Liverpool's was during covid, which means its been 8 years since another team had a parade to celebrate a title win!

These are incredible times to be a fan. Hoping we get a good turnout to acknowledge Pep and the players. Other clubs can only dream of what we're seeing, we've got to savour every moment!

It’s such as shame the majority of Albert Square is still closed off. The redevelopment of the town hall is behind schedule. Hopefully the redevelopment of the town hall will be completed by the end of next season? I want Pep and the players to show the PL trophy off in the new Albert Square.

I always think the best place for a stage would be on the other side of the Town Hall, looking towards St. Peters Square. Could cram a good few thousand in there before the tram tracks.

But they never seem to think that’s a good idea.

Last year was a bit of a weird choice I thought.

Doesn’t bother me though. I like being in the vicinity, having a few beers in a pub en route somewhere and seeing all the blues soaking up the atmosphere. Never really too bothered about actually seeing the bus or the stage.

Hope the weather stays nice at least. It’s great seeing all the young kids, who probably haven’t even been to a match yet, most of them, getting involved and nailing their colours to the mast nice and young.

The town hall redevelopment is now around two years behind the original schedule. Definitely won't be completed 12 months from now - spring 2026 is looking likely.
