Farage is like a shit stain that just won't scrub out, thought we had got rid of the ****. On the bright side it does mean the Tories are going to get absolute battered

We need to be cautious here. A massive battering in any GE isn't that good for any democracy. A healthy opposition is always better.
And the right of the Tories would regroup.

I think they're more likely to jump ship to Reform and the Tories revert back to One Nationism.

However much the Enoch appeasers want us to lurch to the right, their numbers are boxed off far below what they’d need to be relevant for the foreseeable future.

All governments eventually fail, hence why they get voted out. The Tories have been quite fortunate in so far as last time they were up against Corbyn who was unelectable to the majority of people in this country.

It is hard, however to see what positives there have been since 2019 or before that tbh.

The economy has flatlined at best, Johnson's government treated the rest of us with distain during covid. They have let water companies be raped by venture capitalists, leveraging huge debts against assets while paying out massive dividends. They can't stop the small boats, their own flagship policy. They have raised taxes on small businesses to unprecedented levels in my buiness lifetime, while letting the biggest business's continue to pay little or no tax. The education system is a mess, with huge pressures put on Teachers, hence loads leaving. The health care system seems as if its in a perpetual mess. They can't procur any capital projects on time or on budget. The Armed forces are clearly underfunded with the smallest army ever. Despite a war raging on our doorstep for the past 30mths. Finally I really struggle to warm to Sunack, I just dont find him that personable. Not sure on Starmer either, but in reality it's a small issue.

I am not saying Labour are going to rectify all the above things, clearly not, but I feel its probably time someone else had a go at steering the ship.

Probably the most disappointing thing out of all of the above is the poor performance of the economy. As a government if you don't get that right, you can't improve many of the others.

I'm not sure. Any defeat of that magnitude could result in unprecedented reactions

The political giants thought a Trump win and a Brexit wouldn't happen, they have their heads in the sand with polls and echo chambers.

What we need is good governance by Labour, if they don't govern well (And I hope they do) then the right will rise, but all the conservatives die don't they?

That's the stupidity and arrogance of these people.

True. When simpleton’s don’t get their way, they lash out and want everybody to suffer as much as they perceive they are.

Politically, if the Tories don’t centralise, they’re dead.

Whereas “centrists” like yourself that want to ban foreigners and shoot burglars are truly the voice of reason.

I'm not sure on that, to be honest.
I love history, and history doesn't show that people always go for the centrist point.

I am assuming that any one who says they are voting Tory on here is treated like Gary Glitter and Jimmy Saville?
Not by me, but I am genuinely interested in what positives you feel there has been from Sunacks government. Or is it a case if better the devil you know? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to get attacked or into a heated debate with some on here.
