PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The press/media might not have a choice but to go big against the 3 red tops +1
If its proven that they were the reason the pl lost the case, pl had to pay damages. That it proves the 3 red tops are in control of the pl.

Can you imagine the 16 other clubs voting to throw out the 3 red tops +1 lol

Some of the evidence may also make other Execs positions untenable if they have said things thar inappropriate or slanderous (or even racist) in emails. The fall out could be huge. There’s almost certainly panic at the PL and amongst the Red shirts hence the leak.

This morning with nothing better to do I watched an edited recording of the QPR match.
The commentary was fresh and honest, quoting how it might be the start of a dynasty and other such compliments. Tyler did not have one bad word to say about us.
Nobody did back then.
12 years later the whole tone has changed.
Cue the video of 'We Hate it When Our Friends Become Succesful'
(If I knew how to post it I would)

I understand that the request for comms from a number of parties referencing City is standard procedure but it feels like very late in the day for this to be requested now. It could have happened at any point in the 15 or so months since they announced 115 charges (or whatever they are) against City, thus spurring us on to the treble.

It‘s also time for the Premier League or the legal people to step in and put a stop to these tiresome leaks. I think this is possibly the 3rd in quick succession and all to the times newspaper.

You’d think, maybe, but full disclosure is surely something that is of no surprise to them.
Unless they’re represented by idiots and I don’t think that’s the case.

All clubs would know that this is something mandatory for the PL to adhere to.

Not forgetting the highest playing budget in their league and taking, paying players a wage from a division or two higher. Those players aren’t mercenaries though. They’re playing for the plucky underdogs for the love of the game. I can’t wait for the media to celebrate each City win.

Yep. It’s really noticeable when you look back how much the tone has turned against us. Sheer poison these days. The more we won the worse it got - and then the hacked emails were the watershed.

Any independent panel would look badly on the party that had leaked private documents. UEFA got crucified by CAS if I remember correctly.

Makes me wonder why they do it.

The big positive for me is that things are obviously happening behind the scenes, it isnt a case that everything is mothballed until November. Why after all this time are the IC suddenly requesting these communications from the PL?

I am hoping this has something to do the IC having concerns about a witch hunt against the club, I cant see this being anything about the accounts submitted per say, however if we can show there has been a targeted movement of the rules to hamper our development then it has to help our case. Likewise it could be that they are looking for evidence in how the Red top shite have pressured the PL into these actions.

Who knows but it is certainly perking my interest.

I don’t think Masters & Co can restrain certain clubs - assuming it was Arsenal that leaked City’s claim document. The rags, scousers etc have massive influence on Masters and not the other way round - they think they’re beyond any control from the EPL. I’d love to know the details behind leaking the 115 charges to Ziegler and how that came to be done.

Agreed but their lawyers would have emphasised the importance of complying and handing over everything relevant.

Respectfully disagree.

Literally any change in the wind will be picked up by the media.
If city are guilty they’ll run it and they’ll sell gangbusters.
Massive corruption at the head of the football? They’ll be over that that, imagine the stories, headlines, clicks and ad revenue as the premier league collapses!

They are vultures that’ll pick at any corpse if the eating is good.
I think they only care about what sells to the red tops

It’s the Donald Trump syndrome- so convinced they are right they feel they are above the law and the end justifies any means however unlawful it might be. Take old John W Henry. Arrogance personified, thinks he can do whatever he pleases, surrounded by sycophants, uses people at will, happy to break the rules and the law to get his own way… his dirty criminal hands are all over the vilification of City. Ask baseball fans in Florida about the little shit.
