PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

My ideal conclusion to this witch-hunt would be if the adjudication panel issue a statement along the lines of the following.

“Having found that there was no evidence provided by the Premier League to substantiate any of the allegations made against Manchester City and indeed that the evidence provided by Manchester City to the Premier League’s investigation was more than sufficient to bring any proceedings to a satisfactory conclusion of no case to answer.

The panel question the integrity of those individuals involved in bringing these proceedings as far as an adjudicatory panel and wonders what the driving force behind what has become an obvious attempt to besmirch the name of Manchester City and everyone associated with the organisation.

These are matters outwith the remit of the panel but the panel would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Sheik Mansour and Manchester City Football Club for the unnecessary measures they have had to take in clearing their good name.”
Now that would be the Perfect way to put this Shit to bed, Once and for all, I couldn't agree more...!!!

But but everyone knows…

Alternative statement.
“City are innocent. The redshirts are shits.”

We saw what happened after the cas verdict, despite what was clearly stated.

So expect more of the same after this is decided,by disapointed halfwits everywhere.

Tbf, the average fan, I can understand and accept.

The media though, they Still continue to spin that one, and that is an issue for me.

I don't think the club will allow that this time if we are successful.

Those letters allegedly sent out recently will become reality if the media were to continue their campaign .

Let's face it, there were zero letters sent out.

Doubt there will be anything of the sort,
ever.

The club will just issue a statement, and move on.

Sky presenters will still put innocent under quotation marks, other media people will continue to talk about technicalities, 'lifted bans' despite being dound guilty by uefa, and spin it whichever way it works for them. The average fan will think whatever they want to.

The best we migbt get is Pep saying something clever from time to time, which will very quickly be talked over, and that'll be it.

And we will win some more.

I am at peace with it.

There were no letters sent recently but with the 115 case if and when we are cleared if the media continue in anyway to smear our club then there will be repercussions, the gloves will be very much off from our side.

Wish that were true, but don't hold your breath.

I highly highly doubt it.

The fact of the matter is, many news outlets firmly believed the cease and desist letter nonsense, it shows how far down the conspiracy rabbit hole the media are.

Which makes it more bizarre why the mayor of Mcr writes a letter in support of Everton to the Pl and not City
I think it was a calculated decision by Burnham not to support City in public. Defending City will not win you many votes in the current football climate , even in Greater Manchester where there are a lot of rags and armchair fans of other clubs. That's the problem with modern politicians of all parties. None of them have any values or convictions any more.

Correct. Burnham is a career politician, he will say/do what he thinks will get him the most votes rather than stand up for what he thinks is right.

There was always a lot of sympathy around "poor victims Everton" in their PSR case even though it was black and white, and they HAD broken the rules. As a Scouser, he jumped on the bandwagon and came out in support of them which was a safe thing to do as it's not going to upset many people in the area which he was voted to represent.

If he was to publicly come out in support of City it would be nice to hear for blues, but for other fans who have already decided we're corrupt and should be relegated to League Two, they would think twice about voting for such a person next time.

He's not daft and won't do anything to split his voters regardless of what he may think is the morally right thing to do.

True but the thing that pisses me of is if every club was investigated as long as City ever club would be found guilty of something.
There are a number of clubs being investigated by HMRC for tax issues over image rights payments and other matters. United & Newcastle are known to be among those. I've heard HMRC is after £100m from united alone. Chelsea are also under investigation for unreported offshore payments.

The difference is that these aren't being leaked or, if they are, the media has remained tight-lipped.

You’re so right.
I’ll have to take a step back from all this.

I was on a late night bus home from town last night, after a ‘few’ drinks at a colleague’s leaving party.

There was a gang of lads in their early twenties at the back of the upper deck of the bus. One was shooting his mouth off for all to hear, about City and us being relegated etc etc.
I let it go as long as I could but it eventually got to me and I turned around and launched into him. A stupid thing to do, in hindsight, but he was wrecking my head with all the usual bingo phrases that he obviously picked up on clickbait sports media.

I quickly identified him as a Liverpool supporter. You can tell the difference in attitudes from United heads quite easily really. They truly are a cult and brainwashed while United supporters in their heart and soul know we are right, but can never admit it because that would be denying their divinity.

I launched into him anyway, telling him how bitterly disappointed he is going to be much to the amusement or annoyance of the rest of the bus. I let him know that he is being conned and he is demonstrating that he knows nothing by spouting the media bullshit he has been spoon fed.

For what it’s worth. One of his group, a Leeds supporter, agreed with me.

I managed to throw a few bombs into his cozy comfortable narrative before getting off at my stop telling them if they like football then they should pray that City win their case as the American alternative looming is not something I’d follow, anyway.

As I said, I’d had a ‘few’ drinks and this would not be something I would normally do and it’s not something I would recommend doing on a late night bus heading out of Dublin to the North side of the city.

But they got my dander up.
No fool like an old fool.

Heading out on a late night bus to the "wealthy" North side of Dublin is not good for your street cred.
Now if you said you were heading out to Ballymun or Finglas and took them on, now that would be impressive ;-)

Everything Burnham does is calculated.
The archetypal, stereotypical, career politico. Unfortunately plenty of em about.
But then you've got an empowered electorate that demands/deserves it. A real mess.

Back to football.
