If that's true, and that's a pretty big if, then it's a mistake. We at the bare minimum need a Rodri back up, he can't keep playing the same amount of games he has been doing for the past couple of seasons.

Don't know if you were on here after the CL quarters. He was fantastic against Barca. Everyone on here was bigging him up.

They don’t free up anything, they’re home grown. When will some people get this into their heads? We can’t replace home grown with any signings! I doubt Cancelo and Phillips will go without us having to subsidise some of the wages and that’s just for a year before the problem arises again next summer. We have no leverage and interested clubs know this.Phillips and Cancelo will be gone even if it's loans, Nunes isn't going anywhere,too early to say what games he'll get.Finance is no problem for us only squad numbers.
Only hope we have is Phillips has a great season and there is interest in him next summer but even then it’s unlikely he will want to take a wage cut. Cancelo seemingly only wants barcelona so god knows what happens there
