Haven't seen any of this in the MuEN, Daily Fail or Sly News yet? Surprise, surprise.
It's been reported in the MEN.

Just having a quick look at the detailed figures and they made a loss for the 9 months to March even after profits on the sale of players, whereas we usually make a small operating loss, which the profit on the sale of players turns into a net profit.

The other interesting thing after a quick glance is that they got, in cash, £158m from Scruffy Jim and used £120m to repay borrowings. However their overall borrowing in the accounts went up very slightly, from £507m in June 2023 to £511m. So my guess would be that the £120m had to be used to repay their revolving credit facility (basically a big overdraft) which had either gone near, or breached, its £300m limit.

Just keeping it 'on the pitch'....

Broadcasting revenue for the quarter was £37.5m, a decrease of £13.2m, or 26%, due to the men’s first team playing in fewer matches in the quarter, in both continental and domestic competitions.

Matchday revenue for the quarter was £29.6m, a decrease of £20.3m, or 40.7%, due to playing nine fewer home matches in the current year quarter.

erm haven't united massively breached PRS then with those quarter accounts, even prior to the final quarter results in the PRS 3-year cycle (barring a frankly unbelievable humongous profit in the final quarter to end of June 2024)?
Adding the £71m loss to the existing figures:

115+28+71 = £214m loss + the final quarter's loss still to be added, so they are already DOUBLE the allowable PRS 3-year loss, and only have a quarter to find £ 109m+ behind the sofa?!?

Edit: I don't know what the 1st 2 quarters of 23/24 results were, so whatever profit/loss of that needs to be added into figures.

Creative accounting will kick in to get round this, if Chelsea can sell off hotels to themselves the rags will be looking at assets they can shift at an inflated price to themselves. Clubs will know they are desperate and resist bids for their players putting the price up, flip side the rags need to move players on which will result in some low ball offers. They really are fucked which is delicious to see.

It's all boiling down to selling the naming rights at the swamp, a final roll of the dice with the chips stacked against them.

And let’s face it, there’s not a great deal of match day income in the second half of May and June, but they’ll have the same outgoings.

they just added £35million for sale of Greenwood ??? that is a joke for somebody with zero value to the club

Any guess of the official club's debt ?? This alone should be enough to ban them from Europe, How many seasons in a row have they reported losses ? Dont you have to show your debt is coming down rather than growing

That would be in the quarter AFTER the end of June 2024 one, so irrelevant to PRS for the 3-year period up to June 2024 :-)
Their final quarter figures are pretty fixed, other than really creative accounting, they just won't publish them for another 3 months.
