Truly is a shame that Hawk-Eye doesn't work as well and isn't implemented on clay courts.just in and put on the red button to see Coco Gauffs meltdown
However, if a ball is called out and then the player is expected to swing as if they would have if it had not been called out is actually a rule they're implementing, then that idiocy is on them and that chair umpire.
She was incorrectly penalized a break point she shouldn't have been, but that also doesn't change that she was not playing well overall. Up 40-0 in the next game should have been one she closed to get back the break. Vekić was more than a capable opponent, and raised her game when it mattered today.

Why are the tennis scores spoken in English by the umpires? Given that French is one of the official languages of the Olympics, it seems weird not to use it in Paris.

It's been covered extensively on here. The Beeb don't have the rights to show everything live, so they have to pick and choose what to show. If you want to see everything live, you need Discovery+.Why are British gymnasts performing but the BBC are showing other nations.
Noticed this over the last 2 days.
Discovery+ will very likely show the same coverage it's provided by one broadcaster (Olympic broadcast services) so it's not country specific.It's been covered extensively on here. Then again, given some of the addresses during the Opening Ceremonies were given in English mixed in with French, I'm still trying to figure that one out too.
I'd also gladly take quarante-quinze over the "bop-bop-bop...ole" incessant crowd outbursts too that I hadn't missed once the FO was completed.
